November 29, 2024 at 8:29 pm #190679Well, my mom was recently diagnosed with mantle cell lymphoma, a rare and aggressive type of lymph node cancer (I’m not sure if you heard or not…I lose track of who I’ve told and who I haven’t, so I’m sorry if I’m repeating myself to you hahaha!). It’s been pretty rough and Thanksgiving just felt different this year knowing there’s going to be a lot of changes, and I hate thinking about it but honestly we don’t know how much time we have left with her on Earth…
like it’s kind of a wake up call because you NEVER know how much time you have left with people, and so it’s just a lot, and kinda scary lol

If you look at the post above where I explained to Loopy, that kinda describes where I’m at right now lol
Though it’s not all bad!!!! My mom having cancer hasn’t totally ruined my life because I’ve grown closer to Jesus and really kind of found peace in it although I definitely have good and bad days!

LEFSE FOREVER!!!!!! <333November 29, 2024 at 8:55 pm #190682I’m sorry to hear about your mom! I’m sure it’s been rough, but I’m also glad Jesus is walking with you through it! I have a friend whose mom was also recently diagnosed with cancer and they’re now moving to another country for more affordable healthcare… it’s been hard for her to have her life upended so suddenly. These kinds of things are so hard and can cause a lot of questions, but running to God with those questions instead of away from Him can make all the difference! I’ll be praying your relationship with Jesus only continues to grow as your family walks through this, and of course for healing for your mom!

LEFSE FOREVER!!!!!! <333November 29, 2024 at 9:33 pm #190690I’ve been doing pretty well! I don’t know if you’ve heard of YWAM (Youth With a Mission), but I just got back from a 5-month discipleship training school (DTS), which is why I haven’t been active on here. The first three months were training- a lot of teachings on things like the character and nature of God, hearing God’s voice, what discipleship is, Biblical worldview, evangelism, etc. Then we had two months of outreach where we went elsewhere and had a chance to apply what we learned as we experienced a different culture. We did a lot of youth ministry and spent time really getting to know the people and developing relationships with them, and from there we had open doors to talk with them about what it looks like to have a relationship with Jesus! So it’s been a very full five months, and I’ve made some amazing friendships, but now I’m back home and trying to adjust to the culture here again. It’s also hard because I don’t live close to many of my friends from the DTS, and after living with them every day for almost five months, it’s been a little rough not seeing them at all and only communicating through a device. But I know being home right now is where God wants me to be for this season, so I’m just taking some time to continue to reflect on everything I learned and ask God what He wants me to focus on next!

Hey hey now everyone, I have to confess. I haven’t been on KP much, because of stress. 😓 But now I’m back but I am low on time, wait why did I rhyme? Oh well! Okay, there has been a LOT in my life, and I can not handle it! 🤩 I am not great with stress, and I crumble under pressure. (Thats why I stink at video games, lol!) But here is my apology… *Wait, where is that ukulele…* (Just kidding, if you know you know. 😶)
But I just want to say sorry, for one reason… I know that people might, just maybe freak out… But I was thinking… Maybe I… uhh… unofficially quit KP? OKAY OKAY, I get it! You don’t want to have to see anyone go… But I have been managing too much with everything going on. And it is definitely partly my fault. (I suck at being a sibling/child) But to lighten the mood, or maybe dampen it… I made part THREE, of my short story! I will list the first two below! And at the bottom will be the third part!
PART 1!
A mysterious figure walked down an empty path, “Where is everyone?” He asked himself. “I came to this kingdom to find amazing writers and poets, I heard legends of all the stories found here! So where are they?” The cloaked man walked down farther on the path. He look all around for anyone.
He came upon a city with a beautiful castle. “This must be the Kingdom of the pen! I have heard that their writing is almost as matched as their honor for God!” He walked down the city streets, looking at all the empty buildings and topics. “I thought this place would be very lively, with conversations and story telling happening everywhere!” He looked ahead and saw a young woman, sitting alone on a bench. “Uh hello?” The cloaked man called out. “Where is everyone?” The young woman turned towards him, “I am not sure… This was the city square, it used to be full of life, and now it is empty. I awoke one morning to find nothing…. Nothing at all.” The woman explained. “I am sorry to hear that, I am the Story teller, and you?” The Story teller asked the lady/ “It doesn’t matter, I am leaving tonight. I am no use to you.”
The Story teller watched as the young lady stood up and walked away quietly. “What could have happened here?” He wondered. The Story teller walked up to the castle and found it empty of guards. “Hello?” He called out. He began to wonder the castle, looking for life. He finally made it to the throne room, and found nothing, he walked up to the throne and sat down. “I must write a story about this!” He thought aloud. “A whole kingdom disappearing for an unknown reason, why?” He began to write, he wrote for a long time, until the sun began to set. “I must be off, the people of my village might be wondering where I am!” He grabbed a new book from his bag, a book that had blue leather and Dimond crust on the side. He pulled out a special quill, and began to write something in an absurd language. Suddenly a portal appeared, a mix of many color and on the other side was an old fashion village with people waiting for him. He walked through, and left the quit kingdom behind.
PART 2!
The story teller was welcomed home by his village, everywhere people were full of wonder and questions. They wanted to know all about the kingdom he had just visited. He stopped to tell many people of the empty kingdom, The Kingdom of Pen. He explained on how the streets were bare, and the castles guards gone! Even the nobles of the village stopped and listened to the tales that he told. They were all as puzzled as he was. Once everyone was finished pestering him, he left for his house at the end of the village. He had a short dinner and went upstairs for rest. But he could not fall asleep. He lay there wondering what had happen to that dreary kingdom, what had caused its fall. He was determined for an answer.
The next morning he said farewell to the village, and wrote another portal for him to visit Kingdom of Pen once again. He went through and found himself at the edge of the city, where he started the day before. He traveled down the dirt road, until he found himself at the city gate. He entered and found the quiet city, sleeping with no life.
He immediately headed towards the town square, where he had met that young girl. She was not there, he did not expect her to be. She said she would be leaving that night. The story teller went on towards the castle. When finally the sun began to rise. He walked through the streets, to the gate of the castle, it was left ajar. He pushed it open and went inside. He traveled to the door of the castle, when he noticed something he did not before. There was a smash in the other door, and it looked like it had been there longer than he had.
He found the library immediately and began to look through the shelves. He threw many of the books onto the ground, he searched the library vigorously. And found nothing. He had spent his whole day there, and found nothing. Until he saw a miniature book, on the corner of the shelf. He climbed up, and found the book bigger than it looked. He dusted it off and read the title. The kings argument. He opened it up and began to read.
PART 3!
He started down the ladder and found a tabled to begin reading on. He found that the book seemed newer, newer than the rest of the books. He opened it to page one and began to read. There once was a king and a queen, who were the finest rulers in all of history. They were kind, wise and helpful to their people, they were highly respected across the land! The king was remarked to be the most caring person in the whole world. And the queen was told to be as wise as Solomon himself! They were so praised, that one day it began to get to their heads. A mischievous man traveled one day, to the castle. He was claiming to be the most humorous jester in the land, and that he could make the most hilarious skits that even the most somber man would burst into a laughter. The queen was dubious of this man, but the king fully trusted him. He was then allowed into the castle, which was a grave mistake.
He seemed to be talking the truth, his humor was so well that even the queen had lost all suspicion. But what the couple didn’t know, was that he was using magic! After the show the king went to thank the man, but when he shook his hand the jester pulled him closer and whispered in his ear. “Why have you to share this kingdom with the queen, she has done little to help you! You are the one the people love. The only thing she has done is stop your plans, and judge you!” Upon hearing this the king was taken back, but instead of defending his wife he began to think. ‘Why must I share this land with her?! She has been more of a pest than an ally to me!’ He questioned himself. While the king thought to himself quietly, the jester slipped to the queen. “Thank you for the show.” She politely said to him. “It was indeed amusing!” The jester took a bow and nodded. “No your majesty, I thank you for allowing me to present to you! I have one question though, why was your servant sitting in the kings place?” He slyly inquired. “Why that WAS the king!” She said in a slightly offended tone. The jester smirked, “I am so sorry my lady, but I would have thought that the king would have matched your wiseness! That king acts more of a child than a leader! In fact, I wonder why he is even here in the first place! Shouldn’t such a wise queen be leading the kingdom? And not him?” He asked with fake intent. The queen stared at her husband ordering the servant to bring wine for the three of them, and reasoned the jesters logic.
His wicked plan had prevailed. Soon the kingdom began to argue, half of the kingdom grew towards the king’s side. While the rest fled towards the queen. The king and queen became bitter enemies, they fought for power, money and people. And soon they forgot how they used to love and work together. And the kingdom fell to ruins. On day the king mysteriously disappeared, and the queen had taken over the kingdom. Many of the people accused the queen of killing him, so that she ay take the throne for herself. But no one knows if that is true or not. While most of the people left, few remained loyal to the queen. Until one day almost everyone left, in the middle of the night. The queen did not have the kings companion, and that angered many of the few remaining people. So they left. The queen discovered this and was devastated. She went missing the next morning to follow, and no one found her remains.
I, the author, was one of those who were loyal to the queen. For I was the queens apprentice. I witnessed it all, and unfortunately they did not listen to a word I had to say.
Now the kingdom is a hollow shell of what it once was. Many people stop by here to rest, but most don’t stay for long. I myself have left. I wrote this down so if anyone may find it, they shall know what has happened here. Please, so other travelers may know, write your name down here.
The storyteller looked at the bottom of the page, and found many signatures. He wrote his own down and turned to the final page. On it he found two pictures of the king and queen, with their titles written below it. But when he examined the queens photo more closely he discovered something shocking. He had seen her face before, but where? It then came to him. It was the woman he had first met when he arrived here!
Hope you enjoyed! Part 4 will come out before x-mas! (I think I will also make a part 5 and 6!)
