Oooh, I really like the second idea!!
Actually, I was just thinking about it today and I noticed that Miles likes to have things under his control, so it wouldn’t make sense why he would willingly give Audrey away to someone, where he has no control over what the rest of her life looks like. A kidnapping would probably make the most sense…
I’ll be thinking it over, thanks so much!!
I’m definitely leaning towards the abduction idea… I’m just not sure if I want to bring in her mom as an active character in the story. Although it could work as an epilogue thing. Like, Miles and Audrey meet the bad guys, determine that they were the ones who kidnapped her mom, so it could still be very likely that she’s alive, but find out that they actually didn’t. Then I leave room for a sequel if I wanted too… I don’t know…
Thank you for your ideas!

September 9, 2024 at 8:22 pm #185588September 11, 2024 at 2:06 am #185662Once under a time, in a land close close to Spain there lived a small brown monkey. 🐒
This monkey lives in a cave at the tippy toppy of the middle most mountain of five, and he loved to do his opera warm ups at 4 a.m. in the morning. 🎶
For rather obvious reason (At least to us if not to the monkey) the little itty bitty teeny tiny micro moolah village inhabitants, which lived in two corn shuck shacks at the bottom of the five mountain peaks, did not appreciates the monkey’s magnificent talent. 😠
Therefore and thus, the villagers hired a boy (I want to say his name was Mustard Head, but it could have been Luke) to climb the forthyish most mountain and throw rocks at the monkey when he began his pre concert concert. 🧒
This had the effect of shutting tight the monkey’s trap (After he screamed and danced around the middlish and thirdish mountain tops due to a rock landed on his big toe.) and the villagers lived happily weather laughter. . . untill the monkey took up baseball and broke the only window in one of the corn shuck shacks. 🥎
You will love what you spend time with.

September 12, 2024 at 3:58 pm #185745@anyone who cares
I was re-reading one of my old Jurassic World fanfics today. Surprisingly, it’s held up quite well compared to my more modern fics! I used “said” way too much back then, and my prose is super choppy, but the plot is decently coherent if not a bit repetitive.

September 12, 2024 at 4:00 pm #185746not sure why anyone else would care about that but I enjoyed the nostalgia of it lol
and looking from this to my current work it’s like “Wow….I came so far….but at the same time, I can still tell it’s me writing these stories simply because I love the characters and want to make up new adventures for them.”

September 12, 2024 at 4:19 pm #185748I understand that. My sister and I found a folder full of old short stories from several years ago. My writing has come a long, long way, but at the same time I still have similar tendencies and character ideas.
I even illustrated the little things. XD I don’t do that now, but I intend to.

September 12, 2024 at 4:22 pm #185749@elishavet-pidyon that’s cool! Yeah, I had fun reading it. It had 131 pages and the text was size 24; contrast that with my latest story, at size 20 text (and coincidentally, as of right now it has 131 pages but is by no means finished. I’d say I have at least twenty pages left, if not much more.)

Any noun can become a verb if you don't care enough.
