Anyone wanna read the possible book blurb for Broken Shackles? 👀
In continuation of Freedom’s Fire
The Second World War has finally come to an end, and
both Leon Wagner and Riker Schind must live with
the aftermaths of war and loss.
The war just behind him, Leon begins regaining what few pieces remain of his life before the Concentration Camp. Desperate to provide for his three children and survive in a country reeling from tragedy, Leon looks for hope in all of the wrong places, craving a release from the pain, hatred, and grief that threaten to drown him every day.
Haunted by what he’s done, a return home for Riker only reawakens shame and the darkness of his past. In a quest to make amends for what he’s done, he helps all those that continue to suffer. But it’s impossible to ignore his sins and much more impossible to forget. Can a man as sinful as him ever be redeemed?
Amidst the backdrop of a shattered Germany, Broken Shackles weaves together a story of shame, grief, and hatred but ultimately hope. Katelyn Douglas, author of ‘Freedom’s Fire’ and known for her rich character development and compelling narratives, makes a return with the second installment of the Broken and Redeemed Trilogy, tying together her love of the Gospel and the events of the time just following WWII.
Will Leon and Riker ever come to the only One who can break the shackles that keep them bound, or are they doomed to be lost in the darkness forever? Read their story in this breathtaking continuation of the Broken and Redeemed Trilogy

July 12, 2024 at 10:31 am #182567It sounds really cool! Are you looking for format critiques, or is it too late for that?

July 12, 2024 at 10:32 am #182568Yes! I overlaid a pen drawing onto a water color background, tweaked a few things with the design program, and there it is! I designed the publishing logo as well!
