So I figured something out the other night about Paxton (of course)
So due to their wings the Faeries shirts, jackets, etc have slits in them (haven’t figured out how they put them on yet) and their clothing is tailor made for their wing size.
That being said…
Paxton doesn’t get tailor made clothes, but hand me downs, and they still have the wing slits in them…
So he has openings in the backs of his shirts, jackets, etc. you can imagine this would be a bit chilly in the mountains where he lives.
But it’s just another way he’s Separated from everyone else.

Don’t worry everyone, his life is completely upheaved in a good way when he leaves his home with Ara and them.
he still has trials and struggles but things are so much better.
When they return to A’Grend in the very end, Ara’s mother and father immediately embrace him and adopt him as their own son, making him prince of A’Grend, and he’s honestly loved like he always should’ve been.

@mineralizedwritings @lightoverdarkness6 @elishavet-pidyon @freedomwriter76 @loopylin @keilah-h @everyone-who-knows-Paxso im thinking of changing his race instead of calling them Faeries I’d call them another name to fit with the Separated Clans but they’re all Fae Folk/Faeries
So to kinda explain, what happened years ago, before this Pax was born, and even years and years before this series begins,
The Fae Folk or Faeries, we’re all united, but they’re made up of different types of Races and cultures.
The Dryads (those with butterfly like wings, and they also have an insane greed of gold and..well that’s a bit of a detail I’d have to get into later), The Nymphs, with curling wings that resemble sea stone/crystal and are various colors, Pixies who can shrink and have your average translucent wings, and the ones who are Paxton’s race, who have large Angel-like wings.
But as time went on dissension bubbled beneath the surface, until the Pixies left to a land called Everilin
Afterwards, the Nymphs decided to trade their wings for tails, wishing to be part of the sea.
This was seen as dishonorable to the other Fae folk and they used it as an excuse for their further dissension (but in reality it was already brewing) and they finally separated for good into their own clans, though they are all still technically Fae/Faeries.
So yes Paxton is a Fae, but I think I’m going to give his race/culture their own name, as the Dryads and Pixies have

#ProtectSebSo Paxton was born without wings, due to the fact that his father was not a Fae (which is a story in and of itself XD) he’s just…a lot of things happen in his life that lead to him being abused and it’s pretty rough. But things turn out well for him in the end

Okay. That makes sense…kinda? XD I just got used to the idea that Paxton is a normal human boy. So his backstory is kinda like Keefe’s? I mean, as in the abuse, and the high-magical-creature-breeding, and stuff?
Hehe, I thought your book was that genre when I first started stalking Kingdom Pen posts. You popped up, and were describing November and Ara’s relationship, and somehow I got that idea.
I’ve known for a while that it’s actually fantasy, but I didn’t know it was that much fantasy-injected.
