I love this! Abbie Emmons just confuses me the more I watch her to be honest…and the internal conflict stuff just wasn’t working for me and was soooo overwhelming, but you did a really awesome job of developing your characters!!

Yeah, she can be kind of vague sometimes. I feel like for me, it takes a little bit to actually completely understand what she’s getting at. I don’t always agree with her approach towards writing (like, she thinks every writer should use the three-act story structure. I’ll use it for just a simple outline, but I could never outline as complexly as she does. XD), but yeah, she can have some helpful stuff.
I’ve known these charries for a while, their original character arcs just weren’t working. They seemed so random and didn’t tie into the theme or the core of who they are, sooo… I finally forced myself to sit down and work through it. XD

I’m doing good! My jaw’s been bothering me all day, but I think I know what the problem is, it just may take a while to fix itself.
I’ve been working on the third draft of the first book of my trilogy and it’s going pretty well! I’ve watched a lot of videos lately about writing and some areas I need help in, and they’ve been helping a ton!

Riiiiight I get that ? I can’t actually think of any good romance-ish books to recommend. And I’m glad you aren’t so unsure of what makes a relationship good or not – also glad I do.
I know a Christian girl who loves the romance genre, and honestly I’ve wanted to ask her what she thinks is a healthy relationship, because from reading some of the books she recommends me… it’s not good ?♀️ She’s also okay with a crazy amount of swearing and implied stuff. And she’s younger than me. She’s really sweet and worth caring for – but it just goes to show what can happen if you don’t moderate yourself.
Man… that’s kinda a rough situation. ? as Christians we’re supposed to hold eachother accountable… but idk about reading… and idk how well you know her. Imo, reading a book with content isn’t quite as bad as watching it, but it should be considered in the same category. Yeah, it’s a important reminder. I could see getting used to a little bit of it, and slowley getting deeper.

My fav genre is distopian! However I don’t like love triangles, violence… ect. I write dystopian with like zero violence, but I hardly ever find any like it. I do like some fantasy, but I don’t like when it goes too far or has made up spiritual stuff that’s weird.
Thanks for the rec! I have already read a really long volleyball series so I might be interested… what’s going on with the murderer though? I looked it up and it said that theirs a murderer in the blurb… is it a bit part of the story? I don’t need a thriller rn ?
