Here’s some of the main side characters from my WWI WIP (the one with younger Felix/Hans as the MC’s 😉) that I would appreciate some thoughts on
First, we have
Josef Noah Wagner, 20 years old
Relation to WWII Books: Leon’s father
The youngest of the group, Josef can be a little naive, and he’s the only one in the group that doesn’t quite understand the reality of war or even abuse. His naivety and even his Jewish ancestry makes him a target of the man in charge of their regiment, Adolf Schmidt, a sadistic and cruel officer within the German army.
Even so, Josef remains hopeful, believing that better days are indeed just over the horizon. Owing his life to the God who saved him years prior, Josef takes his faith seriously, and will do almost anything for God. Deeply in love with a young
But when Fineas’ life is tragically lost, Josef struggles with guilt and one question…
How can he ever be forgiven for letting Fineas die?

Fineas Wilhelm Müller, 37
Relation to WW2 Books: Fin’s Father
The oldest of the group and a man strong in his faith in Christ, Fineas tries to keep the other men and friends around him calm and under control. He offers wisdom and counsel when needed, and will never turn his back on the ones he loves most.
A family man, Fineas is known to brag about his beautiful wife and amazing kids, and with six kids already and a seventh on the way, the others know he has a right to talk about the people he loves most in the world.
Fineas will do anything for the friends around him that he cares and even loves…even giving his life.

I’m doing decent, but I still have writer’s block for all of my books (and fanfics)
But I’m going to be getting my brother’s room next week, and it’s bigger than mine, plus it’s getting new paint and I’m getting new decorations and furniture (I can’t wait)

I don’t know if anyone will be interested… but I decided to do the Inktober challenge but as a snippet series of an old story idea that I loved but never really had the chance to toy around with. The story is called ‘The House of Nelindar’ and it tells the story of a small microstate that was destroyed by the British Empire. It follows the storyline of a 10-year-old survivor and later his niece and two nephews.

I don’t want him to die either…but it has to happen. He saves Josef’s life 🥹 (and then Josef will be able to have Leon as his son, so there!! XD)

Here we go:
Franz Felix Schind, 29 years old
Relation to WW2 Books: Riker’s father
Serious and quite pessimistic, Franz finds Josef immature. A strict Atheist, he won’t even try to listen to Fineas’ words of faith. Quiet and distant, Franz can come off as cold and rude, but truly…he’s just grieving.
Nolan, his oldest son, died six months before Franz was drafted into the German army. Nolan was only eight…and Franz just wants his son back. Though his wife Jennie sees their new son, Riker, as a gift from the heavens to replace the son they tragically lost, Franz can’t help but feel like Nolan should have lived so much longer. Because of his grief, he now drinks, and though it makes him a worse man, Franz really doesn’t care. The alcohol makes him forget about Nolan’s death and even his abusive childhood, and Franz…
…he just wants to be numb.
