      @everyone

      Is anyone on Goodreads?? And if so, can I friend you?? (If you’re not comfortable sharing your name on here you can send the request. I’m Bridget E. on there 😉)

      Any noun can become a verb if you don't care enough.

        And if you don’t want to, that’s totally fine.

          Hmmm, have you read To Sleep in a Sea of Stars by Christopher Paolini? It’s semi-clean, but still very adult at the same time, but it has some fascinating concepts.

          Summary:

          During a routine survey mission on an uncolonized planet, Kira finds an alien relic. At first she’s delighted, but elation turns to terror when the ancient dust around her begins to move. As war erupts among the stars, Kira is launched into a galaxy-spanning odyssey of discovery and transformation.

          Dune by Frank Herbert is a classic. (Just don’t watch the 80’s film version, please read the book, then if you like movies, watch the new one, but never ever ever watch the fever dream that is Dune 1984.)

          Summary:

          Paul Atreides, a brilliant and gifted young man born into a great destiny beyond his understanding, who must travel to the most dangerous planet in the universe to ensure the future of his family and his people.

          If you want something clean and really good, I’ll always recommend Brandon Sanderson (I would recommend him anyways). you got the the Skyward series, the fourth book is in the works, but it’s a good startup if your into YA and sci-fi.

          Summary:

          Spensa is a 17-year-old girl who is part of a group of shipwrecked humans living on a ruined world called Detritus, under constant attack from mysterious aliens called the Krell. Spensa dreams of following in the footsteps of her deceased father, a fighter pilot of the Defiant Defense Force (DDF).

          Also from Sanderson, the Reckoners series, which is like more superhero sci-fi dystopian (except the hero part of that, which is the premise of the story).

          Summary:

          David’s father was killed by a ruthless Epic named Steelheart, and David, now 18, has waited 10 years for revenge, certain that he holds the key to Steelheart’s weakness. Hooking up with a ragtag group of rebel Epic-killers, David and crew knock off Steelheart’s subordinates and lure him out.

          This year, again from Sanderson, he released A Frugal Wizards Handbook to Surviving Medieval England, and it’s as whimsical as it sounds, but it’s very fun sci-fi with some fantasy elements in a way I can’t say without spoiling a lot.

          Summary:

          A man awakes in a clearing in what appears to be medieval England with no memory of who he is, where he came from, or why he is there. His sole hope for survival lies in regaining his missing memories, making allies among the locals, and perhaps even trusting in their superstitious boasts.

          (I promise, It’s sci-fi😅)

          I hope any of these touch your interest!

            I think everyone has already recommended books that I would have recommended. XD

            But you’ve read the Wingfeather Saga, right? If not, I highly recommend it! 👌🏻

            Umm… I can’t really think of anything else right now. Oh!! Actually, the Ascendance series by Jennifer Nielsen is really good. I’ve read the first four, but haven’t gotten to the fifth yet. There’s violence and she mentions cursing but doesn’t actually write it out; but I would say for the most part it’s clean. (Her historical fiction is amazing, if you’re interested in those.)

            If I think of anything else I definitely let ya know! 😊

                @thearcaneaxiom my dad really likes the Dune series. He’s always searching for the prequel series he has a couple books of whenever we’re at the bookstore.

                  @euodia-vision I didn’t mean skip over Endgame, I meant just skip the rest of Infinity War in favor of it.

                  But we watched the rest two days ago…..so it doesn’t matter now. We’ll be watching Endgame tomorrow if all goes right.

                    Wow.. that was a lot of books xD I guess I should’ve expected that. Thanks for replying everyone! I’ll try to answer all of them, lol

                    @whalekeeper

                    Yep! In my opinion, the second one got a little weird but I might still finish it.. just skip over some parts.

                    Oooh, I’ll have to check that one out! It looks kind of interesting! Thanks! 😁

                    @euodia-vision

                    Ughhhh, I’m sorry! I’ll be praying for you and I hope you feel better soon!

                    Ohh, cool! I just went to a 4-h thing in Michigan and um.. I love all the animals xD There were baby pigs and cows.. 😍🥰 We’re talking about the same thing, right? What kind of animals do you have?

                    Ahh, yes! I loved Left Behind and I want to try the Ashtown Burials.. thanks for the suggestions! 😉 ooh, yeah, I do have to finish LOTR sometime.

                    @thearcaneaxiom

                    No, I haven’t–what does semi-clean mean? Lol, I guess what I mean by clean is no sexual stuff, language (depends on the words they’re using and how often it is), and I’m usually ok with violence if it’s not extremely graphic. And I also usually don’t read books with dark magic or possession and stuff like that, if that makes sense.

                    Yeah, I want to try Dune! I’ll have to ask my dad about them, since he’s read them. And yeah, I loved Skyward! Maybe I’ll have to look into trying them again. Did you read all the books? If so, did the third book get much darker than the first two?

                    And yep, I did read some of the Reckoners too! Oh, okay, cool! Thank you!!

                    @esther-c

                    Yes, I did read it!! I loved it! 😆

                    And yep, I’ve actually read that too.. lol, they are amazing!! You should totally read the last book. Yeah, I think it’s clean too.. at least by my standards. Depends on how sensitive to violence you are, I guess.

                    I might have to check out the rest of her historical fiction! Thanks, sounds good!! 😁

                            Good!! I’m pretty tired, cuz I just got home from helping at our karate studio all day and then having a karate class on top of that…

                            So I’m just lounging in a chair right now lol.

                              I’m doing ok, I had some health issues a bit ago and had to cancel my meeting with the school counselour (for classes). I’m just writing some various things and drawing a lot. Trying to condense my books a little and have almost every scene drive the plot in some way.

                              How is your writing going?

                                Yeah, it will get sexually suggestive and even explicit in a few moments, the language is ok from what I can remember, and there’s a lot of violence, so sounds like a no go. It’s sci-fi, but there are some things in it that are quite analogous to dark magic and possession, so probably not for you😅 It’s annoying when that happens, I had to quite reading Children of Time last year, which was really intriguing, but the worldliness was just way too much to be ok, most don’t have the values we do😥

                                Yeah, I want to try Dune! I’ll have to ask my dad about them, since he’s read them. And yeah, I loved Skyward! Maybe I’ll have to look into trying them again. Did you read all the books? If so, did the third book get much darker than the first two?

                                Yep, I can defiantly recommend Dune, once you read the first book, you’ll have to know what you want before you continue the series. The first book makes a complete story with a hero saving the day, but the next book is a deconstruction of that, and ends in tragedy, so you can either stop at the first, or continue for deeper commentary.

                                I’ve read all of Skyward so far, and I’m really excited for the fourth book. The third isn’t really that dark, in fact, I would say it’s less dark than the first two (intentionally narrative-wise I think), but I’m betting that the fourth will actually get pretty dark, but we’ll see.

                                And yep, I did read some of the Reckoners too! Oh, okay, cool! Thank you!!

                                  Ahhh, gotcha. Yeah, I read the summary of the third one and it seemed like maybe it was going in a darker direction, idk. Really sad though, because I loved them.
