I…. Have a thought.
I have a character I would like to explore… Like Ari, he belongs to that world’s history, although he is very unconnected. He does important stuff when he’s older, but he really develops his character as a young person, long before his “story” begins. Which in turn makes that a deliciously fun time to explore. He would be nerding out/studying in the Library like the typical ancient pre-med student. XD He would not have to interact with the people in the library, but also could if they needed a disruption…

He was inclined to ask whether having siblings was like having a related best friend, or if it was more similar to having a permanent A.V.I.Y.E, but Jack wouldn’t get the reference about obnoxious robots. Hardly anyone where he lived had siblings, and Bryce never attained a chance to converse with those who did. “What are your siblings like, if I may ask?”

Ok, let’s get this going. Meet…
Tavar Avelorion.
Now, with their makeshift home growing into a kingdom and the last traces of boyhood leaving his face, Tavar has found himself far from the haven of his father’s house. He came to learn more of the art of healing, not say goodbye again.
Description: physically between 18-19 years of age. Not sure about actual years, but for reference, he is older than Ari but ages slower. Deepset green eyes, narrow face, fair skin, and faint freckling. Still looks more like an adolescent than the young adult he is inside. Favors his mother’s light hair and lean build, but has his father’s smile. His hair is also lighter than usual in the family, pretty much platinum blonde from sunbleaching. The only one of Alvenar’s children to have good memories of the Intervening Years. Self-designated protector/playmate/tutor to his siblings.
Hobbies: reading, walking, riding, writing, archery, people watching, playing ball games, and swimming. Currently all these are subject to the pursuit of studying medicine. Decent at martial arts but in the standards of his people, only really excels at archery.
Other notes: Gentle spirit, spine of steel. Eldest child, young heart. Is practically apprenticed to the physician team on campus. (Not the guy who can heal with touch though. I think this one doubles as a psychiatrist.)

Tavar
The thick leather of his book’s cover was creased with hundreds of years of eager hands cradling it just as Tavar did now. Where the ballads he had read yesterday had sported detailed illuminations in every possible margin, this tome left space for notes from the scribes who had copied it line by line.
Naturally, there were notes from other people as well. At least two boys’ handwriting touched every page. Tavar bit back a smile as he added a note of his own.
Complicated but worthy knowledge.
The passage he had refferanced looked back at him with solemn kindness.
It is imperative to separate the hearts in your mind. The first is that noble organ that sends life throughout the body in the form of blood. The second is the part of the soul that acts as the source of all emotion and desire. Where the one resides in the center of the body, this emphasizing it’s physical significance, the second cannot be seen with natural sight, this emphasizing its spiritual importance. The blood heart will only slightly affect the Spirit Heart, but the Spirit Heart may at any time by extreme grief or joy smite the Blood Heart so that it stops.
Both are subject to desease, however, a wound of the Blood Heart, may be healed by a practiced physician. A wound of the Spirit Heart requires Time and Light. Still, despite what my friends have said, haling is possible for both.
