Well, I don’t know if you’re still taking ideas, but here’s mine.
If this is kind of like a fantasy with magic monsters or spells and such I think that this could work:
There’s a thin line of mist or something, that once you cross it into the enemies borders, a drop of blood appears on your thumb/finger/(whatever you think is best) no matter what. Signifying that the blood of your people was once spilt on this ground.I don’t know if that’s what you’re looking for, but I hope you like it!
