I want to here more of your story. *shrug* desperate times call for desperate measures.
Man is born for the fight, to be forged and molded into a sharper, finer, stronger image of God
December 12, 2024 at 2:02 pm #191898lol. Well, you will get some more of it, although you might also get some scenes from other WIPs. I have Audrye and the team on my mind today. It’s a pity you don’t know them enough or I’d share A***n’s death as vengeance. Or maybe his mother’s. Or maybe Yosi’s nightmares as “character development”.
I am in a dangerous mood. XD
You have listened to fears, child. Come, let me breathe on you... Are you brave again? -Aslan

December 12, 2024 at 2:17 pm #191902Yeah… We’ll see. XD I want you to love them before you know who dies. It’s a pity, because it’s such a great weapon. 😉
Ah well. To hear is to obey.

December 12, 2024 at 3:36 pm #191911The birds tittered, the squirrels chattered, the wolves celebrated, the bears were content as the news spread across the forest: the one they loved had come to live in the forest. The Shapeshifter. His soft tread could be heard as he traveled beneath the boughs of the evergreens. He could be seen, in the form of a black wolf, following upon the heels of the silver leader of the pack. Sometimes, the squirrels came across him dozing with the fawns.

Jara carried her pole over to where her brothers stood. Jara opened Cameron’s tackle box—retrieving a jar of worms from inside. As she weaved the worm onto her hook, she noticed a jar sitting in the grass beside the box. A label on the jar displayed the word “crickets” on it, in chicken scratch handwriting. Jara wiped her hands on her pants, and then laughed a little as she showed the jar to Kiran.

Ok y’all. I redid the math and I owe you collectively 900 words. Here’s 257 words, which heals me from whatever damage done by Min and Loopy’s snowballs and puts me toward toward finishing Elllette’s. XD
Just beware y’all. To my most recent calculations, I have 46 snowballs in the arsenal.
Sir Artur Kemp’s cold gray eyes warmed at the sight of his son. Wilhelm approached the desk with a little more confidence.
“You wanted to speak with me, Father?”
Sir Kemp held out a hand for his son. Wilhelm took it in his own little clammy one and winced when the contact irritated the blister on the side of his thumb. His father drew him up to sit beside him.
“I heard you fell asleep during lessons.”
“Yes, sir.” No use denying the obvious. It had never worked before.
“You are seven, son. Old enough to train with a sword, and old enough to know the value of instruction. The serf children never have this opportunity.”
“Yes, sir.”
The office was quiet for a moment. Wilhelm could just catch the sound of birdsong through the stony walls. Maybe his father was listening too because he stood and led his son to the nearest window. The glass was thick and wavy, cut into little diamond panes, but if Wilhelm laid an eye against one, he could see the courtyard outside. Kemp looked down at him with a strange, sad smile. He reached out to tossle the boy’s flaxen hair.
“It is a beautiful world, no?” The question was asked in the gentle tone the knight rarely used. Wilhelm turned from his pane.
“Yes, father.”
“We are protectors of this world, Wilhelm. We rule it as the king’s denizens. We cannot fail him. We cannot.” He bent to kiss Wilhelm’s forehead. “You are young. You are learning. Learn well.”
