@kate-flournoy *chokes* Um, yeah. Not at all creepy that I can think of.
Now what is creepy is how often authors choke. It almost seems like a conspiracy or something.

October 11, 2016 at 8:50 pm #19083*gasp* @Daeus you may be on to something… oh dear oh dear, what sort of conspiracy???
XD
October 11, 2016 at 9:03 pm #19087@kate-flournoy Oh, well, nobody knows for sure, but this is definitely what’s happening. So Josiah just became editor in chief. Coincidence? I think not. This movement is a certain sign of a grab for power. Only problem is Reagan and the other staff members still balance out the power. Hence, in a master stroke of villainy worthy of writing an analytical article on, Josiah secretly hatched a plan. Without letting anyone know, he created a false social media account and began to perpetuate the idea that authors should choke in order to commune with their own dear characters who get strangled. He is currently fanning this idea (under his fake account currently unidentified) and by January 1st he plans for the movement to become so strong that authors will choke to death and everyone on KP will die, leaving him with unlimited power.
*stares at post* I really should be doing something productive right now. *goes and does that*

October 11, 2016 at 9:05 pm #19088*gasp* OFFICIALLY. FREAKED. OUT.
*wails* @Aratrea how could you?!
October 17, 2016 at 12:04 pm #19369I have one thing to say. You guys are nuts. @Daeus is more of a chestnut and @kate-flourney… all of them. You. Are. Weird.
And I wish I had the internet on more days than Monday because I have not caught up yet on all the threads and I am missing peoples tags.ENFP - "One must be sane to think clearly, but one can think deeply and be quite insane."
October 17, 2016 at 12:44 pm #19370Her fault entirely. I used to be a very respectable pecan.
But actually, you are right. And I can go overboard sometimes, though I think I barely stopped here in time. You can’t imagine how fun this was, though.

October 17, 2016 at 1:50 pm #19395@Anne-of-Lothlorien yes, I’m afraid I have a reputation for turning very respectable people into nutcases… *sigh* I don’t mean to. It just… happens.
December 11, 2016 at 8:22 pm #22534Yep, pulling this up from the depths again and putting it back on topic…
So, I watched The Force Awakens again. I think I could probably watch it over and over and never get tired of it… because every time I watch it I see something new that I missed before.
The big realization this go around was something fairly small but I almost choked when I realized it… do any of you guys @Daeus @Anne-of-Lothlorien @His-Instrument @Julia-R @Dragon-Snapper remember how in his last scene, the snow lightsaber fight, Ren kept thumping himself on the side where Chewie had shot him? The first time I saw that I was confused. I thought, ‘maybe the blood is collecting in his jacket or something and he doesn’t like it????’. See, I’m not the hugest Star Wars geek ever. I never even saw the prequels; I’m not incredibly learned in all the lore and stuff, so I guess I wasn’t really thinking. But this time, I realized that what he was doing. Hang onto your hats.
*deep breath*
He was deliberately hitting his own wounds to give himself the pain and anger to be strong in the dark side. Can you say ‘heartbreaking’?
And that’s also significant for another reason. In the beginning of the movie, we see him halt a blaster bolt in midair and keep it hovering there for like five minutes— an incredible display of strength that we never even saw the like of from Vader. But by the end of the movie, after he’s had basically all his old ghosts reappear and just killed his own father, he was such an emotional wreck he was reduced to an incredibly painful, primitive tactic to just barely struggle through a fight he should have won with one hand tied behind his back.
Excuse me while I go curl up in the corner and sob.December 11, 2016 at 8:24 pm #22535Huh… I guess that makes sense.

December 11, 2016 at 8:30 pm #22538@Daeus yeah… that was my original reaction. It took a while for the horror to sink in. π
December 11, 2016 at 8:34 pm #22539@kate-flournoy π Wow… I never looked at it that way before. That just goes to show more differences between the light and dark side. I thought that the fight between the two was done very well, actually. With the two different colored lightsabers, then that one part where Ray forced his lightsaber to the ground and her lightsaber was held high. And the color, red and blue flashing back and forth between their faces. I could watch it a million times too, just cause I love Star Wars.

December 11, 2016 at 8:43 pm #22540@Dragon-Snapper yes, that scene was amazing. I think I was rooting for the wrong person, but still… π
December 12, 2016 at 12:51 am #22548He was deliberately hitting his own wounds to give himself the pain and anger to be strong in the dark side. Can you say βheartbreakingβ?
I thought that was to get his adrenalin running, but that also makes sense and is incredibly heartbreaking and sad! Like, makes me almost want to maybe cry, and I’m not a crier when it comes to books and movies, (or at least I don’t let myself cry. I probably want to cry more than I actually cry) so that’s pretty sad.
I read through this whole topic (or most of it, it got confusing near the end π ) and I found it extremely interesting what you were talking about all the personality types (or was that @emma-flournoy? I can’t remember now XD). I’m appreciating the character of Kylo Ren more (I always liked him, I always felt for him – when he was talking to Han, I thought he was asking for help to kill himself, so him killing Han was a shocker!) and how complex he really is. It makes me want to write complex villains like that, and it sounds hard, but I’m up for a challenge. π
I took the quiz that someone posted on another topic and found I am an INFP-A. Just out of curiosity, how would that relate to not wanting to cry over things? (If it relates at all?)

December 12, 2016 at 8:15 am #22552@kate-flournoy: I was seriously just about to put that question up on the forum! “Why was Kylo Ren thumping his side like that?” Great minds think alike! π
And yes, this does break my heart. Kylo Ren is the best bad guy. Hats off to the story team for creating such a multi-dimensional character!I’m a much more emotional person then most, especially at movies. I cried too. Don’t feel so bad.
Oh, and I’m not sure what to tell you about the prequels. Watch episode I. I like that one. But episodes II and III just break my heart. They’re good, but you know where the protagonist, Anakin Skywalker, is going. I mean, might want to watch them anyways, but skip the last 15 minutes of episode III if you’re sensitive to extremely graphic, violent almost-deaths.December 12, 2016 at 8:20 am #22553Oh, guys (@daeus, @kate-flournoy, @his-instrument @dragon-snapper, @perfect-fifths)….. who IS Supreme Leader Snoke, exactly? Or what is he? I saw a weird theory circling the internet that he was a reincarnation of Mace Windu.(?) Some people think it’s Darth Sidious again. Any thoughts?
