It falls into four categories for me. 1, “This is cool.” 2, “This is really not in character but I’ll accept it anyway cause it works.” 3, “This looks….cursed, but it’s funny.” and 4, “Whoever drew this needs all their art privileges revoked because this is a slight to eyes.”
LOL! Yeah! I remember there was this character I really liked, so I looked up fan art for her! (And I never EVER look up that disgusting stuff type of fan art) And I was so annoyed when I didn’t even scroll down on the fan art and there was the private blur thing that google does! I didn’t click it of course. I was just so annoyed on how THAT was on the top of the search. It’s so stupid! I hate how they draw some of my favorite characters like that! It just seems so… I don’t know! Disrespectful might be the word I’m looking for?
July 5, 2025 at 6:43 pm #204504@the_lost-journal I don’t look up the gross kind either. It really is disrespectful.
Like shipping two characters together who are twin brothers. The heck people?????? Why? WHY? WHYYYYYY?

I was gonna say: “Ew? People do that? In what?”
But then I remembered there is this one game where the shippers are HORRIBLE T-T…. They don’t just ship twin brothers… they ship a brother and sister… AND they ship a father figure with a child character. WHAT IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE?!?! they need prayers :[ (that’s all I can say)July 8, 2025 at 12:17 pm #204517@the_lost-journal yeah.

yeah
July 9, 2025 at 10:29 am #204530I have new information on this part of @whalekeeper’s point:
But sometimes fans are just exaggerating for funsies. Take Steve from Stranger Things, for example – people make fanart of him babysitting the other protagonists on leashes. It’s funny because they take his older brother role and dial it up 200%. Sometimes fans do the same thing with insecure characters – they’ll draw them crying on the floor and it becomes an in-fandom joke.
Not gonna lie, I’ve looked over a lot of fanworks–art, fan fiction, animations and animatics–since the conversation and I realize I don’t mind so much when they do this….but only if it’s sometimes, and it’s not too out of character.
Every character’s gonna have moments of vulnerability at least once in his life. But what I hate is when people act like that’s their whole character.
Same goes for the “disgusting type of fan art” that @the_lost-journal mentioned. I never look that stuff up and have filters on my searches so I never see it. But I know it exists. And a lot of it, because of the context, means the character(s) are acting way out of character just to fulfill some deranged artist’s desires. And that’s annoying.

I HAVE RETURNED
lol
Hello! I agree. I can find it funny! Like this fan art I love:

I just find it so funny for so many reasons lol. First off, the only adult character in this fanart is Hajime. But in the video game he’s the youngest one. But he acts the most mature and oldest out of all of the characters. He is only 17. The rest of them are between the ages of 18-22. LOL. So that fact that he acts like the oldest is really funny and that’s why I love this fanart so much! But other fan arts that totally exaggerate the character to an extreme point are a little annoying. I know the provided fan art is a little exaggerated lol. But for instance, there is this one ship between him and another character… but the other character looks down upon hajime because he isn’t an ultimate. And they ship them because… the character singles Hajime out??? Like he’s not doing that to flirt (??) He’s doing it to be a jerk! Because he is one. Anyway… it’s annoying. And the other reason people ship them is because the character tried to kill Hajime… ?… soulless smile… How romantic right? I love it when a girl flirts with me by trying to stab me in the back with a knife…
I think the ship is an example of twisting it. They are meant to be be E-N-E-M-I-E-S
not lovers.

September 9, 2025 at 7:42 pm #206042Hellooooo! It will only let me post here for some reason? I tried to say my hello on the chat chat and it wasn’t working.
I’m a bit late for this topic, but here’s something to rant about, perhaps (Only if anyone wants to reply. If not that’s okay too. This book was the first thing I thought of when the word “rant” appeared lol).
I just read the Wingfeather Saga a month ago, and I’m still traumatized and obsessed with those books. I’ve already done art, made my best friends read it (well, I didn’t make them read it. They wanted to, because I kept talking about it), and I’ve also tried to think of a possible outcome that could have happened after the ending. I dare to announce that this series has become my new hyperfixiaton, for I have been thinking about it a lot. ?

I AM TOO! 😀 You know who else needs to read the wing feather saga? *Cough cough* @Theshadow *Cough cough* WHATTT??? Who said that? This wind! Am I right???
I love the series! I have the animal guide or whatever it’s called! And I have the tales book (which I still need to read T-T) I love the book so much and Shadow has to read it… otherwise I will have to defenestrate her ?

Oh great! I don’t have the creaturepedia yet, but I do have the Wingfeather Tales, which I also haven’t begun reading. It does look pretty neat.
I love the book so much and Shadow has to read it… otherwise I will have to defenestrate her ?
Tis quite unfortunate, yet a defenestration worthy situation ??? (jk, of course, but they’re still really great books that should definitely be read?)
I must ask now though… If there’s one character who is extra worthy of defenestration in the Wingfeather Saga, who also deserves to eat their bread boiled instead of toasted, who would you say it is?

Sighhhhh yes. I have found the perfect window to throw her out. I wish I didn’t have to do this ?????☹️???

He used to be my favorite… ? But then… It’s Bonifer Squoon ?
September 10, 2025 at 2:59 pm #206094@the_lost-journal oh it’s Bonifer Squoon for sure. That guy was nasty.
