Now is time for our next random question, served with a side of rainbow cupcakes! (Ugh, I can’t say anything rainbow-y without sounding weird. Oh well.)

So I had Chatgpt come up with the most random question ever. This is what it has asked us:

If a medieval knight had access to bubble wrap, how would they incorporate it into their armor design for maximum tactical advantage?

Pray, thou shalt simply add ketchup unto the mac'n'cheese.

well, I guess they’d probably use it as padding around the places where armor chafed or had a chance of knocking around (say, under the arms and thighs, and on the helmet and shins). Ancient soldiers used sponges to pad their armor. I’m not so sure what medieval ones used, but if they’d have discovered bubble wrap I’m sure they would’ve used it for that.

Of course, that’s assuming they figured it out what it was and weren’t like “what devilry is this???” They did that with magnets.

The best method would probably be having some sort of bodysuit made of bubble wrap under the armor for cushioning.

                lol.

Ok. The problem with Bubble Wrap is that it’s kinda single time use. Two or three good hits in a fight and several spots will be very thin. A good gambeson would basically be multi-use bubble wrap. The popping sound could be fun though.
