@bluejay I wish I did, but I have to go to bed soon. Sorry I missed you; my notifications system has faithfully failed me the last week or so. It used to alert me when you tagged me, but not anymore…
September 28, 2016 at 5:17 am #18305@sarah-h Never mind. *has faithfully failed me* Oh, you have no idea how that made me laugh… 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀
And then I have to add sad faces because it is not doing its job. 🙁 🙁 🙁 🙁 🙁 🙁September 28, 2016 at 4:49 pm #18321@sarah-h, I will be praying! 🙂

Quick update on the kid’s club; the first two days are over, and this is the morning of the third day. So far everything’s gone pretty well, with kids all saying they’re having fun, and also knowing most of the answers to questions, so they must be listening. Please especially pray for the evening of the fourth day, Friday, as the parents and families of the kids will be attending for a recap/summary/show-and-tell of what’s been happening. Last year they expected families to leave as soon as it was over, but ended up with everyone wanting to stay and chat. They even had some opportunities for gospel conversations. So pray that that night in particular will go well, and that the Lord will be guiding our words. 🙂Official Member of the Certified Club of Aussie Kapeefers

The kids club finished yesterday evening! We had the usual session in the morning, and then all the kids came back in the evening, this time bringing their parents so we could show them what we’ve been doing. It went really well, everyone had a great week, and and I believe some leaders even had some gospel conversations. Thank you for your prayers.

October 3, 2016 at 2:55 am #18570October 20, 2016 at 9:47 pm #19624@kate-flournoy @hannah-r @hope Hey, I’ve got a pretty big burden weighing on me right now. Honestly, I’m almost weeping as I write this. Anyway, you all know my story (Edwin Brook, that is). Well, for the first time yet som of my family’s reading it. I’ve got enthusiastic responses from my sister and dad, but I just read the first chapter of the story to my mom today and I don’t think I’ve ever hurt someone so badly in my entire life. It was the murder scene and all. I thought I handled it with delicacy. I still don’t think what I wrote was wrong, but I really hurt her a lot and communication has been strained.
Anyway, I feel both the assurance of God and an unparalleled brokenness at this moment. Your prayers appreciated.
Oh, I’m open to input to.

October 20, 2016 at 9:53 pm #19625@Daeus yes. I’m praying.
I think the thing with bits like that is that it can come as a real shock to people who haven’t thought through the necessity of darkness in literature. They may not disagree once they think through it, but (especially for moms) the shock of hearing it without preparation can throw them into turmoil pretty harshly.
