I'm a Kapeefer 'TIL WE'RE OLD AND GREY!
www.jennaterese.comMay 23, 2018 at 3:26 pm #73051@jenwriter17Â Â I’ll keep you in my prayers!
Here are some songs that help me when I am feeling that way:

http://www.encircledbygrace.com/May 23, 2018 at 4:16 pm #73060@jenwriter17 I’ll pray for you. I think a lot of people can relate to not being happy with how they look. :/ It definitely can get on one’s nerves. *cough*feelya*cough*
@seekjustice I’m glad to hear it!Blog: https://weridasusual.home.blog/

www.jennaterese.comMay 23, 2018 at 5:21 pm #73066I guess I’ve always been one of the lucky ones who doesn’t care very much about my appearance, but I’ve definitely been where you are (except people always think I’m waaay older than I actually am, which is just as annoying as being seen as too young). Its really easy to look in the mirror sometimes and think “I’m not as beautiful as so and so” and that can be really discouraging. Or, “no one will ever like me (in a romantic sense), because I’m not as beautiful as X”.
I guess the important thing to remember is that God doesn’t choose or use people based on their looks. Even Jesus is described as being average, not handsome. People have never made a difference by being pretty. Our society puts so much emphasis on looking beautiful, even whilst we’re talking about “everyone being beautiful”. But God made us to look the way we are for a reason (have you ever heard the story of Amy Carmichael’s brown eyes?) and we are valuable to him because he made us. I know that all sounds cliché, but its a cliché because its true 🙂
I’ll be praying for you *sends chocolate*

May 23, 2018 at 9:52 pm #73091@alia Of course, I’ll definitely be praying!
@jenwriter17 Yes, I’ll be praying!"For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind."

www.jennaterese.comMay 24, 2018 at 12:15 am #73118@jenwriter17 Boy, do I have the same problem! I was cursed with some freckles too, and a hair color that some call “sink water”. 😀 Yeah, I am praying. I like to remember that God is writing the greatest story of all, with his children as the MC’s, and thankfully I don’t have to be beautiful to be His character!
"In a mask, was he?"
May 24, 2018 at 2:33 am #73137@jenwriter17Â First of all, I’m praying. I know that feeling all too well.
Secondly, listen to this song. It should help. 😉
You can pronounce it however you want.
May 24, 2018 at 2:49 am #73142Warning: This is a deep post.
Hi, guys! I have a couple kind of major prayer requests.
I am in a similar situation as @salome01w4g (Hannah), where I’m not sure I’m cut out to be an all-out writer. And seeing how devoted people are here, and at Story Embers, to writing novels, I have been considering stepping back a little bit.
Over my hiatus, I realized that the primary reason I love Kingdom Pen is not because I want to be a better writer, but because of the community. If you think about it, you should know that this is true, looking at topics like “You Know You’re a Kapeefer When,” or “How to Spot a Kapeefer.” I was (and still am!!!) huge on chair-melting dragons, catwings, steampunk horses, raspberry kings… It’s why I spent the majority of my writing time on the KPA, and not an original WIP. So now that I know this… I’m a little reluctant to say that I’m not sure that KP or SE is the best place for me… if all I want is a community, and not a place to grow in my writing skills.
Now, I’m not saying I DON’T want to grow in my writing skills. Because I really do! I’m just not… as serious about it as a lot of y’all are.
So basically I need prayers that I find my place in KP and SE, and my place in my writing journey. It’s all very confusing. I love you guys for being an amazing community!! And even if I end up not being the devout writer like I though I would be, I will keep supporting you guys!!
You can pronounce it however you want.
May 24, 2018 at 10:46 am #73170@jenwriter17, I’m praying
@dekreel, don’t take this the wrong way, but when you talk about people here being serious about writing, I start cracking up. I don’t know about the rest of the people on here, but I have a hard time being serious about anything.but seriously, whether you’re writing or not, I know God placed you in this community for a reason. I know I have gone through long periods of time without writing, and even when I do it isn’t as masterful as some of the other people’s or even your KPA.I
So even if you aren’t writing as much as you would like, you still have a place here.
I’ll be praying for you

Kapeefer til we're old and greyMay 24, 2018 at 12:50 pm #73175@dekreel I’d love for you to stay here. The serious writing can go to Story Embers, and we’ll just have a small community of friends here who write a bit and chat a lot. As Kaya puts it, we’ll bring our knitting needles and laptops to the small cafe called Writers’ Corner. 😀 If you read the pages of Writers’ Corner now, you’ll see that half of them don’t even have anything to do with writing and we often aren’t even writing at all when we’re there. I still want to be here because I would like my writing critiqued by the people here, but I also like the chats, and we’d all be happy for you to be here even if you’re not writing hour by hour in all of your spare time. To be honest, I doubt any of us do that. 😛
So, simply, please stay!
"Sylvester - Sylvester!"
May 24, 2018 at 2:18 pm #73183@dekreel We want you to stay, even if you are not as into writing as some of us might be. You are still a writer, and you are still our friend. I hope you never leave. You were the one who answered the first comment I ever made (when I was scared to death of KP) and I have not forgotten how reassured you made me feel. And like Alia and Rochellaine said, we are not always writing anyway. So, yeah, I will be praying!
