Hey guys, I would really appreciate your prayers. Here’s the situation.
I’m writing a Slam Poem for English class, and I’m performing it on Monday. My classmates are all going to see the video.
In my writing I always strive to uphold Christ and what he would want me to do. My poem is about a sensitive human rights issue that often gets people angry when it’s discussed. I feel God’s calling to write my poem about it, but I have to admit I’m worried about performing it for my classmates. I attend a Christian school but many of my classmates are either not Christian, or they are but they follow the popular beliefs of society. I know none of them will be doing a poem like mine, and once they hear my poem I’m worried about their reactions.
So I would appreciate it y’all would pray my performance goes well and maybe even affects one of my peers in a Christ-exalting way.

That’s amazing that you’re brave enough to do something like this! If God called you to do this, he can also equip you to do his will. I’ll be praying for you and I really hope that things go well.

Girl, I will ABSOLUTELY be praying for you!!!!!!!!!! I will pray that God will give you the courage to speak what He wishes and I will pray that He will speak to the hearts of those who listen and that He will give you the guidance so that you will say exactly what He wants!!!! And I’m gonna be honest. I’m someone who will speak my mind and say what’s right. And I’ve lost a lot of friends that way, but looking back I realized they weren’t really my friend and their opinion of me doesn’t matter!!!!!!!!!!!! Of course, I’ll pray for you! That’s awesome that your doing it:) A Christian camp speaker once told me that we aren’t here to please everyone, we are here to please God. And I’m sure that’s exactly what you’ll be doing. I’ve read a lot about how many persons don’t realize how many others are looking up to them, I’ll bet that you’ll make an impression on someone in a good, God willed way:)
