I wrote this pathos-ey little piece for the guy on the horse in the snow.
I did not choose this life. I am hunted for no wrong, but they will not catch me. My horse is young and strong. They cannot outride me. They cannot track me down. I am one with the shadows. They cannot slay me. I am Two Swords. I will not fall.
But I cannot rest. I am hunted day and night. I live by the fruit of the woods and by game. My water is the hidden pools of the mountains. In the winter, it freezes. The ice never leaves me. Even in the summer, the chill of lurking hunters shakes my bones.
The winter has come. The breeze from the north whips icicles against my face and clouds the path before me. Only one faint light gleams from the within the cottage. A man sees me coming and he flees. They always flee. I turn about and leave. I had a friend, one or two. They have all fallen. I alone am left.
Stranger, if you see a man, cloaked in black with two swords upon his back, lying half dead beside your cottage door, take him in.??????????????????????
