My new WIP idea

I’m new so I thought I would tell you about my new WIP idea. Actually, it’s not new it’s been in my mind forever!! But I just started writing it (literally in the first paragraph XD) but I have the rough blurb.

Tomorrow’s War
In a world where the government destroys all religions including Christianity and destroys countless families. Two siblings who are split up young grow up in different circumstances.

Alex (Alexa) is the older sister. after witnessing her parents’ murder she finds a home with a Christian couple. And she leads an illegal bible study which when discovered changes her life forever. Finding an old base in the deep woods where she hides out she finds the truth and also her brother.

Tristan grows up with his non-believing aunt and uncle. Tristan loses all hope for things to change and in rage, he hacks into the government database. But like many things that happen when you do things out of rage, he fails to hack around the guarded security system and ends up bringing the military to his own house. What he finds in the database leads him to the same place as his sister.

Skylar grows up in a dark past where she becomes hateful of the supreme leader. After following Alex into the Woods she helps discovers the truth and falls for Alex’s brother Tristan. She tries to get rid of her hate and rage and replace them with hope and love.

 

Anakin is torn between his heritage and his love for Alex who shows him compassion and faith. Having looked up to his father a great military general. He believes it’s his destiny to follow in his footsteps. But when he uncovers the dark side of his father he fears it might be too late.

 

This story shows the difference between hope and compassion and rage and hate. It also shows God’s love and standing firm in your faith. This is an action-packed romance-filled dystopian story.

It’s pretty rough but I have the whole book planned out, but I have a few other WIPS that I’m mainly working on.

And yeah, Anakin and Skylar would probably be my favorites. The whole idea is so cool!

On a side note, I’ve only started a little bit in Sci-fi (including Healer, and another old WIP called Reaching Worlds which was actually on earth- basically kids trying to survive and witness in a world being taken over by tech. talking about it makes me want to get back to it XD). So yeah, maybe we can swap some notes sometime! 😉

Yeah, we should swap notes sometime (: I think Anakin and Alex are my favorites but there are so many twists and turns.

@smiley Oh yeah, that’s a great theme. Also good job having a theme picked out already. I once started a short story without knowing what I wanted the message to be… realizing halfway through that I needed to have SOME sort of theme left me with a prettyyyy big editing process on my hands. XD

Yeah I’ve done that before too lol

I realized that it’s important to teach something in your writing no matter how small it may be. most of my stories are about finding your way to Christ.

Yeah, I get it. There are so many different personalities and traits and backstories that it’s hard to choose a character.

That’s cool how you put messages like that in your writing! I try to do that with anything I write. In Healer, there’s a deity called the Celestial Phoenix that represents God.

I love this story idea so much!! I would definitely read something like this! 😄

Dystopian can be really fun to write. There’s a lot of potential story-wise and lots of ways to twist cliches. Good luck on writing it!!
