That sounds interesting. I am helping out a few other people with their WIPs right now, so I don’t know how much time I will have to help you, but I wouldn’t mind hearing a little more about your characters.

1) what time of year does the book start/span?
2) what type of things does Peter’s father invent?
3) have you made incorrect quotes for these charies yet? I mean, I’d love to hear real dialogue snippets, but I know that’s not always easy to share.

I’ve read both the books, but it’s been a while. I think I borrowed them using interlibrary loans or whatever. They were pretty good. Probably worth rereading at some point soon. If you can borrow them anywhere, you should.

@koshka I have literally TONS of incorrect quotes for my fanfic’s 10 major characters (well, technically only 9 show up in the quotes cause one can’t talk) lolllllGlad to see someone else likes making them!

#ProtectSeb@koshka afraid I don’t have any incorrect quotes for this WIP, as it was years ago and I hadn’t even done incorrect quotes at the time XD (when did I start this book…idk…XD)
The year I’m not sure…it doesn’t take place in our world, so not any of our years…
The first book only spans across at least maybe a few months. The whole series (of Course it’s a series XD) Â 2 years or less.
And as for Peter’s father, not sure I ever got that far. I think I’d made him work along side the children’s Godfather (he grew up as an apprentice to the man, who was basically his adopted father) in His toy-shop. The man built all sorts of mechanical toys, think brass toys with gears and with mechanics.
He’s basically a prodigy of engineering however, and has been offered jobs in various positions from the time he grew to be an adult (from wealthy men and women, to government, etc) but he turned them down, preferring the family life and minor tinkering.
However…that changes when a ruthless dictator takes over everything.

#ProtectSeb@koshka I will say however, with quotes, I’ve read the entire book of Peter Pan by J.M. Barrie and use quotes from that book for inspiration (and probably in my actual book)
I also read the other Peter Pan book Barrie wrote (Basically a prequel to Peter Pan) but…I don’t really suggest or recommend it because it was quite weird and a little disturbing? I know it had an underlying theme/message I’m sure but overall it was just weird and I didn’t like it. Idk if I even finished it XD

@godlyfantasy12 I like the idea so far! I’m not a huge fan of retellings (tho I am enjoying my Robin Hood-esq Marvel AU😂), but this one sounds very interesting!
It’s always good to step back from a main WIP and work on something new and/or old, and you having fun with it is what matters most🥰😉
