HELLOOO WOOORLLLDDDD (Could uhh I get some help tagging peeps cuz I only remember a few tags and…yea XD)
Would anyone like to hear about my New/Old WIP? I’ve probably talked about it before but…well…actually idk if I’ve ever actually shared much, if anything about it before…I’ve always been so obsessed with The Destined (just a working named XD) that I never really went back and focused on this WIP much again…
OH! For those who don’t know…you might wanna go read my post “Going back to an old WIP” to explain what’s happening here! Basically I’m going to try writing something I’d given up on to give my mind a bit of a break from the destined, because writing has been lousy recently…and I’m hoping this will help rekindle the fire for writing!
This old WIP was a Steampunk Peter Pan retelling! does anyone want to hear some about it?
If so…where would you like me to start?!

Or maybe any specific questions? (and I also had posted aesthetics for some of the characters in the aesthetics/moodboards forum

Here is was my (I think? XD) Newest Blurb or at least one of the newest blurbs when I left this WIP
When Peter Barrie’s homeland, Everlin is taken over by a ruthless dictator, his life is turned upside down. When his parents are taken captive by the dictator, due to their father being an inventor, Peter and his little sister, Bell, are thrust into an adventure unlike any they’d ever had.
Trying to find a way to escape their town, the two siblings meet Wendy, a spunky, optimistic girl on the run from the dictator’s pirates, who are taking children and teenagers for unknown reasons, and two pixie brothers named John and Michael who are on the search for their missing queen.
The unlikely group is pushed together with uncommon goals, but a single enemy after them all. Can the team achieve their personal goals while on the run, or will Everlin forever be a Neverland?
It’s a bit rough/long, but this was from years ago so yea!

A Peter Pan retelling in a steampunk YA setting, about a boy who must learn that life is worth living despite the battles.
Of course, as my books always do, there’s a theme that deals with inner/mental struggles and battles. I have my own mental struggles and family members/friends who have the same, and I want to write things to help people overcome these things, or at least feel they’re not alone in these things. My characters tend to always have a piece (or many pieces) of me, sometimes it’s all of them, sometimes just one.
Some characters have pieces of people I know. I think that’s normal for most authors/writers.
The one most like me when I first started writing this was Peter, with the Mental and inner struggles anyway. Outwardly, it’s Wendy, with her personality and such, but she has struggles I have as well. They all do I’m sure.

It also reminds me of Dust! You should definitely check it out, if you’re going to write a Peter Pan retelling. I’ve never really been huge about Peter Pan (know the basic story, don’t think I’ve seen the movie or read it—most of my knowledge is from Dust 😅) but this sounds like an interesting twist on it!
