yes!! A girl after my own heart! lol. I am German, so this is really close to me.
Do you speak German?
YES!! Iām just waiting for it to come out!!!
I know!!!
oh Iād love to read it if heād let me! Do you want to post it here, or do you want my email?
I can post it here.Ā @freed_and_redeemed You can read it as well! I’d love to hear what you think about his writing!
I was personally shocked when I read the story. You see, I was known as being the story writer in the family, and he’d been quietly working on the story without anyone noticing. So, when he suddenly popped this into my hands one morning, my mind was blown.
This story is a first draft, but still, it was amazing! I had no idea how good he was at writing! Since then, he’s worked on several writing projects, but he’s currently on one much longer story.
The terrible thing is that he’s keeping the story totally to himself! I’ve asked him repeatedly to read it, but he keeps saying he has to finish it first. *sigh* I’m going crazy to read it…but I guess this is a good lesson in patience.
We’re also planning on co-writing a novella, so that’s super exciting.

I think I love this book already.
One thing I noticed…if these are Slavic names in Slavic culture, they aren’t quite right. Dmitry Volkova is feminine; Dmitry Volkov is masculine. Even as a surname, I believe the name gender changes, although I’m not sure if Sofiya’s name changes…but I think so. Also, do you have Patronymics figured out yet? (As that’s the name a Russian {and I believe most Slavic cultures} will regularly use). Although I’m guessing one or two of those are German?
Sorry if this was unhelpful. I just sort of geeked out. They’re so beautiful. XD

Fork the GorkDecember 5, 2024 at 7:52 pm #191110YESSS I WANNA WATCH BONHOEFFER SO BADššš
I know, right?
Riker Schind, an SS officer, struggles with his conscience as he uncovers the horrific truths behind the regime he serves. Haunted by his past and the role he plays in the suffering around him, Rikerās journey towards redemption is fraught with peril and soul-searching decisions. His encounters with prisoners, especially with Leon, challenge his beliefs and force him to confront the darkness within his own soul.
Woah, sounds like Ellette’s book!
Itās available on Amazon in Hardcover, EBook, and Paperback formsāØ
Ooh! I’ll check it out!
Now the formatting for Freedomās Fire isā¦well, messed up bc I didnāt yet know that Amazonās paid publishing route or whatever it is was just a scam and none of them were actually professionalsš¬ but there are so many people that have loved Freedomās Fire despite its faults, which means so much to meš„¹
Yes, I was looking at the sample and noticed the formatting! Don’t worry, though. I was thinking, “The story’s gotĀ to be worth it.”
Are you going to be going a different route for formatting the second book so it looks better?
By the way, if you ever need a beta reader for your books, I’d love to help!
The same goes for you, @ellette-giselle! And, I may be looking for a few beta readers in the future as well…just saying…

December 6, 2024 at 6:51 am #191141IT”S IN HARDCOVER!!!!!!?????? Why wasn’t in hardcover before!??! *sobs*
Man, I’m heavily debating buying a second copy just to have the hardcover too!
Woah, sounds like Elletteās book!
I know!!!! š±
This is why I’ve been hiding it ever since I found out Freedom was doing ww2 on KP.
Then, after reading her book, I was like, “Well, they aren’t super similar.” We do both follow an SS as a main character, but it’s totally not the same beyond that.
Do you speak German?
Some.
Not fluently.
Oooo, you want to beta read it?!?! Hmmmmm.
Okay. Keep this hush hush both of you, but….. well, Freedom and Liberty, would you two like to Beta read? At least part one of The Crimson Rose?
It will be a first draft, so it might be rough, but I’d love to hear your thoughts. Freedom, I’d especially like it if you kept an eye on some of the thing surrounding the culture as you know German culture quiet well and might have noticed something I haven’t.

You’ve ruined me, girl!
oh I couldn’t breathe! I’m crying right now. Oh man, that was such a good, good story! I love the tragedy of it!
Tell your brother he did an amazing job!

That’s still so cool! I learned a few words from Dolingo…hardly worth anything now, though. My father, however, can speak a little since he lived there for three years as a soldier in the U.S. Army.
Oooo, you want to beta read it?!?! Hmmmmm.
Oh yes!
Okay. Keep this hush hush both of you, butā¦.. well, Freedom and Liberty, would you two like to Beta read? At least part one ofĀ The Crimson Rose?
It will be a first draft, so it might be rough, but Iād love to hear your thoughts.

oh I couldnāt breathe! Iām crying right now. Oh man, that was such a good, good story! I love the tragedy of it!
Tell your brother he did an amazing job!
I’m so glad you enjoyed it! I will tell him that!
I know. I was utterly jarred when I got to the end. I talked with him about it, and he said he did have an original idea where Franz, Miriam, and Albert (*sob* Albert!!! His death was so tragic, especially the way Josiah wrote it so bluntly) all survived. However, he decided against writing it that way. And though I’m torn about it, I know it’s much better with the sad ending.
Your Werner post is awesome! He’s such a handsome doctor!
A sky full of stars, and he was staring at her
Ho, ho. He’s in love, too.
Are all those little girls in the picture his sisters? Or are they from the hospital? Oh yes! I see the rose again.

December 6, 2024 at 1:19 pm #191227AHH Werner looks amazingššš

and if life allows, I’d love to beta read your book, Ellette! and yes, I can help look out for German culture for sureš I’m not an expert, but I have poured a lot of research into it, so XD
@liberty Yes, I’m going a different route for formatting, meaning I’m doing it myself bc I can’t afford professionalsš It looks good on my computer, so here’s to hoping it’ll look good when printedšand ty for the offer!! š I may consider beta readers for Book #3, but we’ll have to seeš

When I first ordered there was a hardcover place, but no price and you couldn’t add it to the cart. I must have ordered too soon after it was released.
