so many of them didnāt know what to believe anymore after ww2ā¦Hitler was all they believed in, and so many of them were just so lost. š

I find making empathetic villains to be easier when we portray them as heroes first, when we see their good sides, and then show how they got to this point

I was talking to my Dad about the differences in war, like when youāre in a battleground and everyone is shooting, killing a man doesnāt seem as big, but in situations when youāre holding the gun only inches away from the person itās such a different feeling
Also I never really thought about how little people still knew about PT-SD and how some could find it unbelievable to have nightmares and trauma from the war
Iāve also been exploring the many roles women took in the resistance during WWII honestly Marvel wasnāt far off on the younger female agents because, in that time frame, women were never really expected to do such things so SS soldiers wouldnāt think much of them
haha, yesā¦VERY narrowed down XD
I know, Iām āNAILINGā this historical fiction thing XD

Yep and yep, youāre right!
They didnāt really put a whole lot of work into researching PTSD until after the Korean War/Vietnam War. bc there were so many ww2 vets with PTSD, theyĀ kindaĀ started research after ww2, but it wasnāt a whole lot yet š
Iāve also been exploring the many roles women took in the resistance during WWII honestly Marvel wasnāt far off on the younger female agents because, in that time frame, women were never really expected to do such things so SS soldiers wouldnāt think much of them
Oh yeah, women did all kinds of things during ww2! Pretty cool š
I know, Iām āNAILINGā this historical fiction thing XD

Iām (kinda) bored, so I am going to share another one of my NaNoWriMo novelās character boardsā¦
Sooā¦ here is the one I made for Dehilikor (Deh-hily-core)ā¦ I am not too happy with it though, mostly because I cannot find a good picture that matches what I imagine him to look likeā¦ the one I used was the closest, but in my imagination, he doesnāt have monolid eyes and his hair is way longerā¦.
But yeahā¦ anyhowā¦

LEFSE FOREVER!!!!!! <333October 17, 2023 at 8:39 am #159198lol. Alright, so Iām still collecting my thoughts a bit, but hereās what I took down so far:
When a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to become a warrior comes to the southern Burnish orphanages, five of the one hundred competent orphans chose to become warriors. Among those was the quiet and loyal Shrapti Yelper, son of the deceased dock master.Ā
With a conflict brewing between his home land called Extroit and its long-time-enemy Ethrin, Shrapti must learn to trust and respect his four eccentric teammates as they prepare to fight in the war ahead of them.
____
ā¦I am still working out a bunch, though, but that is the basic ideaā¦. I was considering calling it Clinging to the End, but I think I will change itā¦.
