It’s hard because you know what the Nazis did, (one of the saddest things was when they took kids with illnesses and other disabilities and well you know) but also that a lot of the SS soldiers were just younger boys who thought they were on the side of right

This is Shrapti Yelper (if it looks too complicated, his name is pronounced ‘Shrap-tee’). He is the ‘Main’ MC of the story…

Its a long story tbh… For a while there, I would just jumble up a bunch of letters and put them into Google Translate to hear the pronunciation (thats how I got Shrapti, and thousands of other weird names).
But I kinda stopped doing that though, and just used words I thought were cool (like Wolf, or Gate, or Cannon…)
(I also take a real name, and spell it different and just pronounce it the same…. I know grammatically it doesn’t work, but I do what I want sometimes lol… for example, I actually spell my character Blaine’s name “Blaen”, but I do “Blaine” in my book so that I don’t confuse people more than I probably already do lol)
I also look up names based on an aesthetic, country, or style… like, for my darker characters, I search “Gothic boy/girl names” or “Punk boy/girl names” or “French boy/girl names” or blah blah blah… you get it.
Oh, and I use a website called Fantasy Name Generators, which has lots of good stuff. I’ll tag it if you want.
