It’s based off the book Fahrenheit 451 which I really want to read, but I haven’t yet, so I don’t know if it’s clean.
I read most of it at a getaway house by the ocean (one of my favorite recent memories), and it was a fun read. I didn’t finish it but at the time I had no qualms, and neither did the Atticus-reminiscient owner of the book. He told me there were certain books every person should read, and this book was on the list for the influence it had on dystopia.
I don’t remember any raw details. But if there was anything inappropriate, it was probably meaningful for the story and didn’t bother me.

I see similarities between Joseph’s story and this one. It feels like we’re going to time jump (also, you said that this story is about a young man… I think…) so that’s my guess.
