And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who couldn't hear the music
November 14, 2025 at 11:07 am #208354For some reason, now I’m tempted to try drawing in that position, ha ha.
Personally, I find I draw better if I’m lying down on the floor than sitting at a desk. My dad has never understood that.
Sometimes it is necessary to paint the sky black in order to see the stars.
November 14, 2025 at 11:09 am #208355ooo, ugh. That always makes my back hurt. (lying down and drawing) My favorite is sitting with the clipboard on my lap, or sitting on the floor and putting it on a low coffee table or bin. I don’t like doing it at the desk or table.

November 14, 2025 at 12:17 pm #208357I’ve drawn lying down on the floor before. My shoulders usually start to hurt pretty quickly in that position though. I usually have my ipad in my lap and I just kinda curl around it.

November 14, 2025 at 10:52 pm #208360Making your character a writer can be very useful if you need someone with random information/skills. It may not be believable for most teens to know how to treat a knife wound, but if she’s a writer it makes sense. XD
?For our Blessed Lady's sake, bring us in good ale!?
November 15, 2025 at 2:32 am #208363hehe yeah I love strange, slightly unhinged writer protagonists. And I can see how that’d be helpful

November 16, 2025 at 2:20 pm #208375@loopylin the drawing one is so me lollll
I’m very flexible and like to curl up in crazy positions when I’m reading or watching a movie. It weirds out everyone who sees it but it’s comfortable to me.
"When in doubt, eat cheese crackers."-me to my charries who don't even know about cheese crackers
November 18, 2025 at 12:31 am #208387Y’all are amazing. You have inspired me to share some of the “KP Memes” I’ve had stashed away…
This one is from when @Whalekeeper started that thing where we were comparing our characters to movie/show/book characters. I made one but don’t think I shared it. (ok, I made two, but this one made more sense. The other had really obscure references… it brought out the darker side of Reuven too, but I didn’t think we needed that, lol. Plus, a friend was slightly insulted that Viktor got compared to Aragorn. XD Guess some people have limits with their humor.)

You have listened to fears, child. Come, let me breathe on you... Are you brave again? -Aslan
November 18, 2025 at 12:45 am #208389By the way, I like to draw curled up on the couch with my sketchbook, but when I started using inks and watercolors more, I went to working at a desk. It was just a lot safer. XD
But it also means I hunch over my drawing like a medieval herbalist mixing potions.
