I wanna say my characters are not glowsticks, but then I realized that one of them is kind of a literal glowstick cause he has a few light-up scales on his body that are bright enough to shine through his clothes. And he has a traumatized life to match (although that wasn’t really my fault)

Short story: “Fork the Gork!” Is a rally cry from one of my sister’s books (her Beliriegn children’s story, if she ever talks about it on here). Certain characters tend to use it with conjunction with their own battle cry “Fork ’em!”

Not so short story: Long ago in the nameless currents, a terrible and terrifying monster took to hunting the otters that lived there (who called themselves the otters of Geat). Brother after valiant brother attempted to kill this great horror and avenge their fallen, but each fell prey to the monster. They called it the Gork.

Then one day an otter from of distant land came, who carried with him a great, three pronged fork for a spear. He, apparently, took it upon himself to rid his new colony of the Gork, and so plunged into great nameless current with his great fork, and there did a battle worthy of legend, of which tale we only know the end. He forked that Gork, and brought it back to the shore where all the colony held a great feast. The otters of Geat still hold a feast on that day which could rival the most wild otter celebrations of all the worlds.

(The otters of Geat also took up great forks as their weapon of hunt and defense from that day forward. Their battle cry of “Fork em!” would instill fear and confusion into the most stalwart of hearts)
