I just finished the first Alcatraz book and it is one of my new favorite books. It’s hilarious. I listened to the audiobook in my car and there were multiple times when Al would say something and I would respond to it with a very loud, surprised “What.” XD

Alcatraz was named after Alcatraz the First….However, when the librarians took over the world, they took these traditional names and named prisons after them. Then they went and named mountains after themselves.

ohhh makes sense.

But if all the librarians are evil….who’s in charge of the BOOKS? You can’t have a world without books!!

@ellette-giselle I’m assuming that means all children are artificially incepted and grown either through surrogates or laboratories, or that two people are only allowed to get together through the leaders’ consent and split up afterward, and they keep tabs on the female. Because simply outlawing marriage and letting people run around having children with whoever they want wouldn’t warrant having to hide a pregnancy, but outlawing reproduction entirely except through governmental warrants would.
