Arnan and Prince Leander
“I never abandon anyone!” Arnan got off the ground. “And… My name is Arnan… so please stop calling me Cassius… okay…?” Arnan looked at Gabriel… “There’s no time for this!” Leander picked up his knife, and started hacking at the roots.
“I’m not abandoning you either!” Leander said proudly. Arnan started slicing at the roots with his sword, one creeped up behind Gabriel, Arnan sliced it. Leander used his knife to chop some. Arnan noticed something… the roots were coming from a common spot.
Arnan made his way to the hole, he let one of the roots grab him. He willingly let it pull him down. He found the hole they were coming out off, and started stabbing his sword into is. A weird shrieking sound came out of it. He kept stabbing… until the roots stopped. Arnan shoved off the dead roots, and stood up. “Let’s finally get moving! Okay?” Arnan kept walking on. “Oh! And Leander, don’t touch anymore roots! Okay?” Arnan narrowed his eyes. “Uh- okay… I hope it’s actually dead…” Leander shook his head.

The Protector—Gabriel
Gabriel’s blades dissipated into cherry-red dust. He mumbled something under his breath, checking the ribbon that held on his mask, making sure the knot was tight.
When your charries have it so rough you are learning how to color dark under eyes...

Barnes
Barnes picked up the driest branch of leaves she could find and pulled out her cigarette lighter. “Back off a moment.”
She lit the branch and waited until the entire clump of leaves was licking with fire. She stuck it into the hole and stuck her foot in as well to press into the plant flesh.
Where the fire touched, the vine melted from purple to black. It recoiled and curled back into angry submission. Soft whispers rose from the hole as the vine leaves shut themselves tightly.

(how was fishin’? Or are you not done?)Arnan and Prince Leander
Arnan went up to the creature. “Nice thinking!” He gave a thumbs up. “This is proof that everyone should do as I say! So… Let’s go!” Arnan tried marching off for the billionth time. “Hold up, Arnan!” Leander stopped him. “We should wait for the others.” Leander nodded his head towards Branes and Gabriel who were still inspecting the hole.
“Alright! You guys can do that! I’m gonna find one of those purple crystals!” Arnan waved and tried marching off… again. “Arnan! clearly this maze is dangerous! It’s smarter for you to stick with others.” Leander shook his head. “Why am I to listen to you?” Arnan turned to look at the young prince. “Because…” Leander stood up. “I- I’ll…” Leander thought of a threat. “You’ll what…? I don’t belong to you! Have a nice time waiting for the others!” Arnan smiled and walked off. “Wait! Arnan!” Leander was torn…

Barnes
Barnes, still bent over the hole, looked up. “Arnan! Stay with us.”

It was storming, and a tree had fallen into the road. We hit the tree, and kind of spun. The front of the car is banged up, and one of the front wheels is severely damaged.

May 16, 2025 at 11:16 pm #203031@theducktator Ooh, that’s crazy. Also sort of a cool experience, besides your poor Grandpa’s car and unless it was scary. Is the car fixable?

Yes! After I got over the initial shock, I was trying to figure out which character this could happen to. XD
Is the car fixable?
I think so. But they live in Illinois, and they were supposed to go back Monday, so I don’t know that it would be fixed in time for that. Also, we were counting on an extra car to drive everyone to three different places tomorrow, so we’ll have to figure that out.

Hm. Well, I hope their trip goes well regardless of the vehicle used.
