I think for me, the most obvious way I can think of that one of my hobbies has bled into my writing life is my Boardgaming hobby. In my main WIP the political mastermind character is also a really big tabletop gamer and uses that as a metaphor for his political machinations.

💛💛
Research definitely counts as a hobby. And the food is so important. Have you cooked several of your traditional dishes?
Heh heh, not yet 😅 I’m still learning a lot of basics so it’ll probably be a while before I do…
If only every fiber was a easily obtainable as we wish. Llanchama tree fabric looks interesting. what would you use it for?
Parts of my rain forest tribes’ clothing is made from it. The tops of the woman’s clothes and the lower parts of the men’s (some kind of pants prolly… I haven’t fully designed the men’s clothes—the women’s were more interesting lol). I really wonder what it feels like… so I can be sure it’s a good idea for the Arch to use it lol
Personally, I long for fine linen, woven from flax…. *sniff*
Lol 💛

Lol, same. Most of that wasn’t even intentional. I just decided that the government would be similar to ours, and things escalated from there. XD
To err is human; to arr is pirate.
March 1, 2025 at 2:20 am #198799I’m a bit late to this.
My art definitely bleeds into my writing a lot. All of my stories have some sort of color palette in my mind, and a lot of my characters, especially from Paper Stars, started as drawings I made. (Ex. Dante, Lemonhead, Mel) And my obsession with turning my old school work into origami stars a few years ago is what inspired the name for my story.
I also watch a lot of cartoons and they influence my writing and art.
I don’t really do much else that contributes significantly to my writing. I have noticed, though, that my writing influences things I do in real life. I started wearing clothes that match my story’s pastel color palette instead of the darker clothes I used to always wear.
There are more examples but I can’t currently think of them because it’s late
