@gracie-j

      Oh, it doesn’t? Well, that’s a shame. I probably learned the most American History from American Girl than anywhere else, to be honest. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Except for maybe Libritey’s Kids.XD

        @kathleenramm Well, not that I know of. Either that, or else I’m surrounded by children who don’t want to read anything at all. *glares at the six siblings who refuse to read a single book from the floor-to-ceiling shelves in their laundry room, or from the library, or from Kindle, or from anything else*

          @devastate-lasting Nice! Yeah Grave of the Fireflies is a little slow… I almost cried at the end tho, it’s so sad! (Also idk know which version you were watching, but I probably wouldn’t watch the English version again. Setsuko’s voice was wrong, and the dialogue just wasn’t as good, imo.) Anyway. I could talk Studio Ghibli for hours XD

            @gracie-jย  Yep 7 (full) siblings! 6 sisters, 1 brother.ย  Large families do seem less common these days.ย Whatย number sibling are you?

            You’re right, I’m not familiar with those ๐Ÿ™ƒ I’ll have to look those up ๐Ÿ˜‰

            Haha, yes, Iย  could quote Princess Bride all day. ๐Ÿ˜… I vaguely remember seeing Gone With the Wind… probably ten or so years ago…ย  It’s been a while ๐Ÿ™ƒ And yes PotC is great! I’ve only seen the first one tho.
I will definitely call you upโ€ฆten years from now, when Jerry finally calls me back. If I can just get a producerโ€ฆ ๐Ÿ˜†
Haha, yes, please do ๐Ÿ˜†

            Favorite thing to sketch…Hmm… Probably animals. I draw people too sometimes– mostly characters– but I’m not as good.ย  Flowers are fun! I wish I was better at them ๐Ÿ˜‰

            No worries! You ask some great questions ๐Ÿ˜„

              @kathleenramm Sounds like we like a lot of the same things ๐Ÿ™ƒ

              Well I’ve only read one of KM Weiland’s fiction books so far… Dreamlander… but I thought it was good.ย  The main ones I appreciate tho are her books on writing. They’ve really helped me a lot ๐Ÿ™‚

              Ah that’s neat your sisters had an opportunity like that! My sisters and I have always wanted to learn a language together so we could communicate and no one else would know what we were saying ๐Ÿ˜† I get that tho! I’ve watched some Japanese shows, and I am excited for the day when I’ll be able to understand them on my own ๐Ÿ™‚ Oh so have you ever listened toย  Hoppรญpolla? My friend introduced me to their music and– despite never having liked Korean pop before ๐Ÿ˜‰– I really like it! (Plus they have some fantastic cello ๐Ÿ˜‰)

              Nice, I like drawing characters too! I try drawing my own characters sometimes, but it always turns out better if I’m copying something ๐Ÿ™ƒ Animals are a favorite of mine as well.

              Thanks I’m sure we will!

                @nova21 Hey Ella! Nice to meet you ๐Ÿ˜„

                It’s E Grace. I haven’t done anything on there in quite a while tho ๐Ÿ™ƒ I’m liking KP since it seems to be a smaller community (at least for the moment ๐Ÿ˜‰)

                Hope you enjoy it here!

                  @emberlynn I’m the oldest–three sisters, three brothers. What about you?

                  You should definitely look them up–if you’re into historical romance, that is. (Yes, I’m the odd one out. ๐Ÿ˜‰)

                  Ah,ย Gone with the Wind is a classic! A portrait of cinematic grandeur, film at its finest, the most epic tale of romance… Ahem. You should watch it again, if you don’t mind my saying so. ๐Ÿ˜Š And the best PotCย was the first one, in my opinion. The newest two were justย blah, although not because of Jack. He’s amazing, period. I do adoreย The Princess Bride, but the rest of my family doesn’t understand why. ๐Ÿคจ

                  ๐Ÿ˜† I’ll put you down, then!

                  Animals…that’s tricky. Favorite animal in particular? (Can I guess? I’m gonna go with bunnies.) I could probably draw more, if only I had the patience. I don’t have the patience. Why I write when I have no patience, I’ll never know. ๐Ÿ˜†

                    @emberlynn

                    I also really like K.M. books on writing! Her blog Helpingwritersbecomeauthors.com is also really good and we have pretty much all of her books on writing. What were some of the things you liked about Dreamlander? ย I’d love to hear your opinion about it!

                    Yeah, I almost always have a reference when I draw, but then I usually change it up a bit by maybe changing their clothing, hair, or something like that to make it my own.XD But I hope one day I’ll have drawn so much that I can draw completely from my head. Still working on that though. But wow, animals? That is something I haven’t attempted since I was eight. XD I really admire people who can draw animals well. Animals are far from easy to draw.

                    I think I’ve only heard of Hoppรญpolla, but I’ll definitely be checking out their music. Do you happen to have any favorite songs of theirs? Also, I really like how one of the member’s nickname is “Cello Man”. XD.

                    @gracie-j

                    Wow. None of your siblings like to read? And they don’t get the masterpiece that is Princess and the Bride? What kind of family were you born into?;)

                    Well, when I was younger I used to hate to read as well, and my parents had to force me to read a certain amount each day. But it only takes one book that you absolutely adore to hook you into reading, and that’s what happened to me when I was ten. So maybe one day one of your siblings will get into reading; who knows?

                    With PotC, I’ve heard that only the first three are worth watching, so those are the only ones I’ve watched. I want to preserve my good memories of the series, so I just pretend there are only three. XD

                      @kathleenramm Yes! It’s horrible! ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE, SORROWFUL, GREIVOUS, DISPARAGING, and a host of other adjectives I’ll not bombard you with. My sister (the one of the three closest to me) is slowly getting there, though I had to bribe her to read my latest novel, but she hasn’t found anything she’s completely interested in to hook her, and the others (as in the only two that can read, since the three youngest can’t…) pretty much hate it. My mom had to all but force them to learn, let alone read for enjoyment. I certainly hope they’ll learn to love it like I do. I was pretty much born reading…or at least I started when I was four, and have been devouring books ever since.

                      They’re all right otherwise. ๐Ÿ˜†

                      Oh, yes, there’s only three, only three indeed. I mean, Will is definitelyย not the best part of them, but something about the newest two is just…off. Still funny, because of Jack, but off. I think it’s ’cause Iย really dislike Angelica, Serena, that missionary dude, Henry, and Carina. And Blackbeard. I mean, really? That, and he was dead by then, y’all. Come one! (I’m very particular about my characters…and historical accuracy…and I guess that’s pretty obvious, isn’t it?)

                        @emberlynn It wasn’t even that it was slow (I usually don’t mind slow things) it’s just with WWII and watching children suffering for a couple of hours…I couldn’t really stomach it. But, yeah, I could definitely talk about Studio Ghbili for hours. Have you watched any of Makoto Shinkai’s works?

                          @gracie-j I’m third to youngest– most of my siblings are all grown up and gone now. I’ve always wondered what it would be like to be the oldest ๐Ÿค”

                          Hm, just maybe you’ve convinced me to watch GWtW again ๐Ÿ˜‰ I’ll admit, historical romance is not something I normally read or watch, but I like to give things a try ๐Ÿ™ƒ

                          Actually… hm.ย  I don’t think I’ve really drawn bunnies much before ๐Ÿค” Favorites would probably be… different types of birds, butterflies, sometimes horses.ย  ย Tbh, I don’t have a lot of patience either ๐Ÿ˜† That’s probably why I’ve never finished any of the novels I’ve started ๐Ÿ˜

                          @kathleenramm

                          Well, it’s been a couple years so I’m trying to remember specifics, but I thought it was a pretty original idea, and the storyline was good, characters were solid.ย  Honestly, I can’t really say all that well ๐Ÿ˜† I remember enjoying it at the time, but at the same time, it wasn’t really that memorable ๐Ÿ˜† Like I said, I definitely prefer her non-fiction works. Why, did you not like it?

                          Yeah, it’s the same way for me.ย  I need something to go by, but I try to make it different enough to be my own ๐Ÿ˜‰ Animals can be difficult, but they’re really quite fun.ย  If only I’d practice more tho… It’s hard finding time these days ๐Ÿ™ƒ

                          Well I like this one… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QxoSMcg3F20&list=LLzzW6DFF0mrsP5dcs6JQVgg&index=8ย  They have some good covers too, tho I haven’t listened to too many of their songs yet.

                          @devastate-lasting
                          Ah yeah, I understand that.ย  My sister didn’t finish watching it for the same reason.ย  It’s… very real.

                          No, I don’t believe I have.ย  Are they similar to the Studio Ghibli films?

                            @emberlynn Shinkai is actually a fan of Ghibli, haha. His movie “Children Who Chase Lost Voices” is by far the most similar one to theirs. But more often he makes fantasy romance movies, like “Your Name” and more recently, “Weathering With You”. If you haven’t watched Your Name yet I highly recommend it! It’s renowned for being a masterpiece of an anime film.

                              @emberlynn It’s interesting, to say the least. ๐Ÿ™„ You’ve got a lot more responsibility as the oldest–especially when most of your siblings are wild toddlers. I enjoy it, though, probably because I like being the boss. ๐Ÿ˜‹ I’ve always wondered what it’s like to have older siblings, though. My parents were both the baby of the their families, but they didn’t have sweet older siblings like me! ๐Ÿ˜†

                              I highly recommend watching it again. It’s so much more than historical romance. I would venture to say that it was definitely one of the best films ever–or at least for its time.

                              I completely understand! I wouldn’t have finished anything that I’ve done if it weren’t for God, let me tell you. You keep at it, though! ๐Ÿ˜Š

                                As for Dreamlander, it wan’t my favorite.XD

                                That performance from Hoppipolla was amazing! Who knew four people play the cello at once and sound amazing at the same time! The cello, guitar, piano, drum, and their beautiful vocals go so well together! I’ve only started listening to them since you recommend them, but already quite a few of their songs have made their self at home in my Spotify. XD

                                  @devastate-lasting Ahhh cool!ย  I’ll look into those. Yeah, Studio Ghibli is almost the only Anime I’ve watched (Anime is still a fairly new interest for me). What’s “Your Name” about?

                                  @gracie-j I think I’m glad I’m in the middle… I still have responsibilities as an older sibling, but there’s a lot I didn’t have to deal with as well XD And I do have some rather nice older siblings ๐Ÿ˜‰ You sound like you would make a fantastic big sister tho! I can’t imagine it’s an easy job XD

                                  And thanks! I appreciate the encouragement ๐Ÿ˜Š
