Hi everyone!
So excited to finally join! I’m a teen who’s been into writing for years, and I’m currently editing one of my manuscripts to hopefully publish in a few months!
I take a lot of inspiration from people like Tolkien and C.S. Lewis, as well as more modern fantasy authors, like Andrew Peterson and Stephanie Garber!
My mission is to write books with amazing plots and characters, while keeping the content clean and God-honoring. I mostly write medieval fantasy, but I’ve dabbled in poetry, science fiction, and contemporary fiction. Also, I’ve recently gotten into flash fiction on this wonderful app called Snipfic! (Find me there with the same username, C.L. Speck!)
November 4, 2026 at 9:21 pm #215031Greetings! Funny, I just saw your profile earlier today before you customized it and was hoping you’d make an intro!
I’m bad at greetings, but I figure I’d pop in. Feel free to interrogate me if you have questions.
Pfp drawn by Surpent on Unvale. I'm a little obsessed so it's over here now.
November 4, 2026 at 9:21 pm #215032Hi my friend!
November 4, 2026 at 9:42 pm #215033Hello, my name is Keziah! It’s great to meet you, and it’s really exciting that you might be getting published soon! I love reading the Wingfeather Saga as well as books by C.S. Lewis and Tolkien, so I’d love to hear what your books are about too, especially after hearing your goals for writing. When you say you write medieval fantasy, is it set in a world with or without magic? And how do you write flash fiction? That sounds pretty hard, given the word count.
November 4, 2026 at 10:03 pm #215039Hello!
I’m Ellette! I’m a published author if fantasy, dystopian, and Historical fiction for middle grade, YA, and adults. I am also the owner of a publishing company, a content editor, and an artist/graphic designer.
What are a few of your favorite books?
If you could pick to spend a week with one of your characters, who would it be, and why?
Do you like chocolate?
And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who couldn't hear the music
November 5, 2026 at 6:14 pm #215069Ok, the current book I’m writing is basically the introduction to a series that explores the idea of wanting too much power—and what happens if you actually get it…
The inspiration behind the series kind of came from a random thought: almost all villains in books or movies are trying to either gain power, money, or immortality, and I was just really interested by that last one, because in my mind, it would be awful to live forever in this world, instead of heaven, so the whole series is just kind of exploring what it would be like to be immortal here.
As for magic, I guess there’s a little? It’s not a huge part of the worldbuilding for this series, but I do have one magic object. It has a very specific purpose, and no one knows much about it. And I also have different “races”, which are basically just people that the Creator gave different special skills to set them up to be great rulers over the land. (But they they got deposed and exiled and everything…)
Yeah, it was really tough to write flash fictions at first, since I’m used to writing book-length projects, but it’s actually really fun and fulfilling now! I’ve found it helps to start right in the action, and slip in the little bits of information the reader needs to understand the context. That shortens it a lot, because you don’t have to do a big introduction, and you just have to worry about the action and ending.
November 5, 2026 at 6:18 pm #215070Thanks!!
I like your pfp! Are you into art and/or anime?
November 5, 2026 at 6:19 pm #215071Hi there! Already skipped rank to Charismatic Rebel, I see? Nice 😀
November 5, 2026 at 6:31 pm #215072Hi!
That’s amazing! What are the titles of your published books?
Besides the works of the authors I mentioned on my bio, I also like Ranger’s Apprentice, Hunger Games, Redwall, Percy Jackson, Artemis Fowl, and also a lot of classics like Les Miserables, A Tale of Two Cities, the Three Musketeers, and a LOT more but my keyboard will break if I try to type them all out!
Hmm…I think I’d spend a week with Alastro, who’s my mentor figure. I think he’d be able to teach me a ton of cool swordplay and strategy! Also, I feel like maybe I should try and give him a week of therapy, because he sure could use that…
YES I LOVE CHOCOLATE! Especially if it has nuts or something in it to make it crunchy, but really I like every way I’ve ever had it, haha

Wow nice!
Ahh I have to choose Halt, because I always have a soft spot for a good mentor figure! What about you?
A Tale of Two Cities is harder….I really like all the main characters, but of course, Sydney is pretty great, so he might have to be my favorite!
Thank you for explaining 😀 I think I’m slowly figuring out the tags, haha
Another question, if you don’t mind: how do you reply to specific things in a post? Like I could have your question as a bullet point, and then reply underneath? I’ve seen other people do it but haven’t figured out how…
