Haha, yeah, I’m probably dreaming about rocking in heels, lol!!!  Ooo, I love satire!!!

Oh, oops, I meant plotter and pantser, but i wasn’t really paying attention to what I was writing… again, lol!!!

LOL, my dad has a taco shirt like that actually!!  Ditto, tho, tacos are the best.

Yep, caffeine is a writer’s bff.  Well, as long as you can come up with some ideas, i think you’ll be good. 😉

Of course!  KP’s motto is “take heart, be courageous, and keep writing!”  That’s what we’re here for!!! ❤

(Btw, it’s super cool that you’re an MK!  What was the best experience you’ve had being overseas?  Do you want to be a missionary when you’re older?)

Anyways, that’s all for now.  Cya!!

@trulyyours_karilyn Eyy, that’s awesome! I’m so glad that you have an awesome family!

Oo, your hobbies sound great! I don’t have many horses around here, haha.

Eyy, pineapple! Yes, I agree. Hawaiian only. (Why would you have it on otherwise?)

Oh, please do ask me questions back! It keeps the convo going, haha, and I enjoy talking to other people.

I play piano, make music, watch movies, read classics and manga, play games, watch anime…but usually I’m sleeping or doing school, though.

Hmm…I’d say sight or hearing. I really enjoy hearing music and things but it’d be so scary not to see…

What about you? What sense do you value most? What’s one hobby that you’ve always wanted to try but never got the chance?

Oh, I love The Princess Bride! Your story sounds so unique and interesting! What sort of picture books, if you don’t mind my asking? And here at my house, we love The Mandalorian too! Of course we can still be friends–as long as you’re all right with me gushing about GWTW! 😉 I highly recommend it.

It’s so good to meet you too! I’ve actually been adopted into a pirate family, so I’m obligated to accurately write their stories. You know how testy they can get when they don’t get their way. But they’re good folks. Treat me well. XD

            Hey!
Nice to meet you too! *semi-awkwardly shakes proffered hand*

Your WIP’s are very different from my usual genres, but I think it’d be so interesting to hear about Paul from an external viewpoint!

Lol, I just copied and pasted my intro from another writing program.

My friends love When Calls the Heart, and I tease them about it all the time. I’m not a fan of hallmark, but my Dad and brother absolutely love Paul, Apostle of Christ. It’s too sad and intense for me, but it seems to be a really stellar Christian movie.

Ive began Les Miserables sooo many times, but my kindle keeps dying 😆I feel like I should just succumb and buy a  paper copy.

I do like The Count of Monte Cristo. (I always lump the two books together in my head). Such an amazing story!

              @trulyyours_karilyn

Thank you! It’s quite an interesting experience writing about Paul that way. I just want others to see that he was a real person, after all. XD

Haha, it’s still such a great intro!

That’s so funny your friends like When Calls the Heart, too! I honestly haven’t seen that many movies or shows in my life other than Hallmark ones. Ah, yes. Paul, Apostle of Christ made me cry, it was so heartbreaking and so real. It played a big part in convincing me to begin writing The Apostle’s Sister.

Lol, I always read paper copy everything! I just like holding the actual book in my hand and turning the pages, but Kindle makes it a LOT easier to carry lots of books with you. XD

Cool, I should check out your recommendations sometime!

                Hey Karilyn.

                that’s so neat!
i LOVE Bernese mountain dogs! My fav though, are St. bernards. My older sister has a collie, named Laddy. He is the sweetest dog ever!

like I said, it’s good to meet you!

                Never Alone,

                Lucy.

Hello Karilyn! It looks like I’m a little late in welcoming you, but welcome to Kingdom Pen! 😀
That’s super cool that you like horses (my all-time favorite animal:) Which is your favorite breed? Coat color? (personally, my two favorite breeds are akhal-teke and Friesian). And a Bernese Mountain Dog and a Border collie?! Those are the best dog breeds ever! 😀 You’re so lucky:)

Anyway, your writing sounds amazing:) It’s awesome to have you here at KP!

@trulyyours_karilyn And I completely forgot to tell you the longest book I’ve read. It was also the last real book I read. Gone With the Wind, 1000+ pages. What about you?

Lol I think definitely….I’m super tactile, so maybe touch? But I’d be miserable if I was deprived of any one sense.

I think it’d be so cool to  be a chocolatier! Wouldn’t it?! It’s a really precise thing, but…. it’s chocolate!!

What are your top favourite authors?

tbh, I’ve never seen what was cool about anime and Manga. So what’s cool about them?

Ummm, it depends what you mean by what sort of picture books…

I would explain the kind I want to write as highlighting events rather than plot-driven….and not board books…and definitely the kind that inspires pretty thoughts.

hmmm, the longest book….probably Rhythm of War by Brandon Sanderson. 1,300 pages-ish

Yesss. St Bernards are great, but they are wayyyy more drool-y than Berners.
My dogs are luckily pretty clean, between shedding cycles.

@trulyyours_karilyn Oo, chocolate! They look so cool!

My favorite authors would probably include Ray Bradbury, Charles Dickens, John Steinbeck, Naoki Urasawa, and Kaori Ozaki, amongst many others. What about you?

Ah, I really love manga because of the deep themes and beautiful storylines that the authors and artists are able to express through their art and dialogue. I’ve honestly found more stories that I love there than among YA and other teen fic, to be honest.

How’s your WIP inspired by The Light Princess?

I did know that Phantastes did greatly inspire C.S. Lewis. It was part of why I was so interested in reading it… and it seems like it was one of the books that shaped fantasy as we know it today (along with authors like Tolkien and C.S. Lewis)

                              I haven’t read Queen’s Thief, what’s it about?

We crazy people are the normal ones.
