My WIP follows the story of a young woman warrior (sixteen yrs), but since they didn’t invent the word ‘teenager’ until 1944, I’m stuck with the word ‘young.’ Ah well, anyway, the setting is in a winter, nomadic forest and I haven’t come up with a main plot yet, but at least I finished the first draft:)

And the themes heavily revolve around: survival, endurance, hope, good wins over evil and person vs. nature.

@imwritehere1920 My favorite part of Fahrenheit 451 was probably when Beatty was lecturing Montag. I do love villain speeches.
As for the inspiration behind my WIP, it’d probably be one of my other short stories and Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight. I came up with it in a week when I was really stressed.

That’s cool on how you got your inspiration. I once wrote a short story when I was having a really bad day. It was helpful to work out the emotions I was feeling.
I almost forgot; you asked me if I had any other hobbies outside of writing. I’d say it’d be archery and a craft called needle-felting (have you heard of it? You basically sculpt wool fibers into shapes with a special needle.) What are some of you favorite hobbies?

@imwritehere1920 Ooh, needle felting! I think I’ve seen that before! Never tried it, though. I like playing piano, making music, and sometimes I do embroidery.
