I don’t remember where I heard the analogy but i decided it was appropriate to the situation

January 5, 2025 at 7:20 pm #193802fan fiction culture is ten times worse in terms of that, i guarantee
I never hang out on fanfic sites for exactly that reason, hence why my TF2 one is in a google doc and I just send it to people who ask about it

Smart decision. Fanfic sites are a scary place, if there’s any restrictions on those places then they have to be the most minimal in existence.

like seriously, fictional characters are some of the most exploited things on the planet.
I joke a ton about being possessive over my fanfic characters, but they have it lucky. In my domain I don’t force them to do things like most other writers.

Girllll go and read the lunar chronicles like right now!! They’re sooooooooooooooo good lol
They are now on hold at my library!
birds terrify me
I want to send a picture of a shoebill stork, but that might traumatize you forever. They are HORRIFYING.
Fake Christmas tree (what do I look like a lumberjack?)
But they smell so plastic! I love real trees.
Regular but thick and fluffy
It’s been years since I’ve had a plain pancake.😂 My dad likes experimenting in the kitchen. My favorite is lemon yoghurt.
I got a boombox that also has a Bluetooth speaker and it’s really cool looking so that’s probably my fav
Oh, cool! My favorite gift was a spotting scope. It’s far superior to my binoculars.

Exactly, it’s really disturbing.

It’s weird how some do, I kind of feel bad for those types of people, although at the same time I genuinely don’t understand why they write that kind of stuff.
did ya finish mine btw?
I did, and it was really good. When I finished it I sat back in my seat and felt slightly sad because it ended. It led me to pondering why good things end and stuff like that lol.

yeah it genuinely confuses me–not just that they write it, it also confuses me as to why 13-year-olds write this stuff and no one seems to care.

Funny enough, that was kinda the moral of the original: It’s not bad for things to come to an end; sometimes they have to. I guess some of that must’ve carried over into mine without me knowing.

Yeah. I have a feeling it’s a lack of good influence in their lives or the situations around them that kind of lead to that. Not saying it’s the only reason, just those are some big factors.

Huh, I guess so.
