Hi! My name is Rebekah, and I am an extreme writing enthusiast, as I’m sure everyone else here is. I have recently realized that I actually see, hear, and think everything in the context of stories. I have a problem.
Anyway, I’m thrilled to be here, and I can’t wait to have wonderful discussions with fellow Christian writers!
I’m passionate about writing in several genres and mediums. I hope to write novels, short stories, and screenplays that honor God while still reaching a wide audience.
As for a WIP, I don’t really have one. Emphasis on one. I’m currently tinkering around with my hundreds (Literally. I counted.) of story ideas and trying to decide which one is best to pursue.
Once again, I’m excited to be here, and can’t wait for the massive learning that will ensue!July 27, 2017 at 6:40 pm #38278Hey @rjk
Welcome to the bestistest place on the internet!
Wow. That is a lot of ideas. If you need help narrowing, I’ve dealt with that before, so I may be of service. 🙂
And we’ve all got problems here. I think the same way you do. If I watch a movie, I try to see how I would describe it.
Again, welcome!☀ ☀ ☀ ENFP ☀ ☀ ☀
July 27, 2017 at 6:41 pm #38279Yes! Finally, I was the first!
@kate-flournoy Your up.☀ ☀ ☀ ENFP ☀ ☀ ☀

July 27, 2017 at 8:33 pm #38283Hi, @Rjk,
Welcome to the bestistest place on the internet.
Zikers, that’s a lot of ideas! (You aren’t an ENFP, are you?)
Well, I’m excited to see what discussions you bring up. See you around.

July 27, 2017 at 8:58 pm #38284Hey @Rjk! Glad you found us. I see you’ve preemptively shot down my normal first questions on what WIP/genre you write in. 😉 What are some of your favorite books?

July 27, 2017 at 9:03 pm #38285She’s two steps ahead of you, @aratrea!
Hello @rjk !! Very nice to meet ya. I’m Elizabeth, and I don’t know what I contribute to the forum except for talking a lot and occasionally turning into a dragon… (that’s a joke you’ll understand later) but I’m here, a lot, and always willing to talk if you need a writing buddy or moral support. *grins*
Welcome to the forum!

Writer. Dreamer. Sometimes blogger. MBTI mess. Lover of Jesus and books.
July 27, 2017 at 9:12 pm #38288@RJK Welcome!!! (Zikers, that has got to be my favorite tag ever. XD So short and simple. 😜)
Anyway, hi! I’m Jenni (obviously, I guess), but almost everyone calls me Grace or Gracie so…*shrugs* Take your pick! 😛
Super glad you’ve found our awesome corner of the Internet here. This place does not dissapoint.
Wowzers, over a 100 ideas! You have my undying admiration. I can barely manage 3 before my brain short-circuits. 😜
Hope to see you around!*is probably geeking out about something*
July 27, 2017 at 10:43 pm #38289@RJK Hello there! I sympathize with having too many ideas! You like to write screenplays too? I haven’t met anyone that wants to write screenplays. (I think) When did you start writing?
Hope to see ya around the forum! 😀July 28, 2017 at 8:17 am #38298@RJK heyyyyy! Nice to ‘see’ you again. 😉 I see you found the introductory topics. *is glad she can give directions* XD
Wow… literally hundreds? *goggles* That’s… awesome? I hope you figure something out. 😛 I thought I had at least dozens, but I counted and came down to fifteen major ideas, so I was glad to find it a little more manageable. ;P
Welcome to the Kingdom! I hope to see you around. 😉
Oh yeah. Do you know your MBTI type?
July 28, 2017 at 10:18 am #38302@RJK Hey there! You’ll fit right in here. 😀 Have you read Les Miserables?
July 28, 2017 at 11:37 am #38303@RJK Welcome!!! Because this is what I do when I introduce myself on here…
I’m Daeus’s (little) sister.
I like to write, obviously.
I like ice cream and raspberries too. (Daeus can’t be the only one.) Oh, and blueberries.
I like to memorize scripture (see the Scripture Memorization thread if you can find it.)What are your favorite books?
See ya!
*turns to @graciegirl* wait, WHAT??? Your name is Jenni??? *faints*
P.S. To Rebekah: What is your personality type do you know? I’m an ESTP.
July 28, 2017 at 11:47 am #38304Hey! Thanks for all the welcomes! I love the enthusiasm here.
So, I’ll try to answer all of your questions in order.
Thanks for the offer, @dragon-snapper. I really appreciate that!
@jane-maree, thanks for the pizza! Do you also like to mash-up a lot of different genres into one story, just for fun?
Hi, @daeus. I’m actually an INFP with an equal preference between perceiving and judging. I have taken several tests, and sometimes I get INFJ, but the majority of the time it’s INFP. One of my brothers is an ENFP, though. 🙂
@aratrea, some of my favorite books (fiction and nonfiction), are: The Accidental Highwayman by Ben Tripp, Dancing on the Head of a Pen by Robert Benson, and Journey to Freedom by Gilbert Morris.
@that_writer_girl_99 Nice to meet you too, Elizabeth! I like dragons a lot, so I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship. And hey, I like to talk too. 🙂
Hi, @jess. Yes, I do like to write screenplays. Sometimes I just get ideas that I think would be better for the screen than for a book. As for when I started writing, I think it was when I was about 10. I’m 18 now.
Your directions were great, @kate-flournoy! Sometimes it’s awesome having lots of ideas, sometimes it’s not. But I’m confused by how I can still get bored sometimes! 😀 Fifteen ideas sounds good.
I have not read Les Miserables, @emma-flournoy, and I don’t know much about it. Is it good?
Once again, thanks for welcoming party! This is the first forum I’ve ever joined, and I can see that it is the “bestistest” one I could have found! As a beginner at this, I hope I don’t violate any forum etiquette! ;DJuly 28, 2017 at 11:59 am #38305Hi, @kina-lamb! I like your name!
I mentioned some of my favorite books in my previous post, but just to save you from reading through all of that, they are: The Accidental Highwayman by Ben Tripp, Dancing on the Head of a Pen by Robert Benson, and Journey to Freedom by Gilbert Morris. You can see ALL of my favorites on Goodreads if you like.
I’m an INFP. I’ve never met an ESTP in real life (until now), but I do love to write characters with that personality type.
I like raspberries too! Do you grow your own? My family has a couple of raspberry bushes and they grow like crazy, at least here (in Colorado)! If you don’t already grow them, you might want to give it a try. 🙂July 28, 2017 at 12:14 pm #38306@RJK hey! I’m an INFP too! Though I’m afraid no one in their right mind would ever mistake me for a Judger. XD
Let’s see, forum etiquette. *dons official ‘Director of Happiness’ robes* The only hard and fast rule is don’t tag more than ten people in one post, and then only relevant ones. Otherwise, general rules of Christian love. Not complicated. 😉
