I’m hybridlore, a Christian homeschooler, violinist, and science fiction/dystopian writer (most of the time).
Awesome that you’re @highscribeofaetherium’s sister! My sister joined a while ago but she kind of disappeared from here, lol.
I’ve been writing for almost 5 years. Despite that, I haven’t ever completed anything. Until recently, I only ever worked on one project.
Wow. So you were working on the same project for 5 years? I’ve had the same not-finishing problem with a lot of my writing (I never got more than a few chapters into something) but right now I’m trying to just stick with my WIP, so we’ll see how it goes.
Yeah, I’ve actually heard about stuff like that — they say it’s easier to write something you’re not as invested in. The closer a story is to your heart, the harder it’s going to be when it doesn’t come out the way you imagined it (which it never will.) But still, that’s really annoying to be so far into a project and realize it’s not working for you. I’m sorry 😥
Yeah! This was the first forum I joined, and I really love it. Everyone here is amazing and I’ve gotten some great advice and feedback from other people on here.
