I thought we could start a topic where we just talk about books. I’m sure that there are lots of awesome books in the world that I haven’t read. Maybe even heard of.
So you can use this topic however you want. You might suggest a book, or ask people if they have ever read a certain book. And you can talk about it and discuss good points, sad points, etc; without looking at the writing style. (Leave that for the KeePers’ Book Club.)
And without further delays: Has anyone read “Mistaken Identity”?
(Allow me tag a few people to get this going; @clairec, @sarah-h, @hannah-c, @daeus, @kate-flournoy, @anna-brie, @hope, @rolena-hatfield, @ivy-rose )- This topic was modified 8 years, 4 months ago by BlueJay.

Great idea @bluejay! I have read Mistaken Identity if it is about the girls that get in a car accident. It was a really good but sad book.

August 3, 2016 at 5:26 pm #15259@daeus, sadly, I have not. Though I’ve heard good things about it here…well, mainly from you and @kate-flournoy. I might have to pick it up sometime.
Who here has read Lord of the Rings?

August 3, 2016 at 5:44 pm #15260@jadamae Yes, that’s the book. It’s it terrible. A combination of happy and sad and every other feeling in between. I have just read it and I could NOT stop crying. *For anyone who hasn’t read it, you should.*
And @hope, it might sound familiar because it happened in Indiana; you’re from there aren’t you? The crash took place on the 26th of April, 2006. So maybe you would have heard about it when it happened.
@daues Nope, have not read. But my sister did because I was talking about it.
@hope The Hobbit. That’s as close as I come. 🙂August 3, 2016 at 6:14 pm #15262Yep. TLOTR’s pretty good.

…Awwweessoooommmmmee
I just finished LOTF two days ago. I love that book. There were sometimes I got a bit confused, but the book was really convincing and the conversation between Simon and TLOTF was to die for.

August 4, 2016 at 10:15 am #15284Yes, Lord of the Flies is really good. Very powerful. And concise. I really admire powerful concision. *chuckle* *snicker* *choke* They make it look so easy! *wails*
August 4, 2016 at 10:21 am #15285@kate-flournoy I’ve read Lord of the Flies awhile ago, as well as Fahrenheit 451 (I need to read that one again) and The Christmas Carol…several times.
As anyone read any fantasy books by Brandon Sanderson. I’m currently reading Elantris. It’s fascinating so far.

August 4, 2016 at 7:08 pm #15291I actually haven’t read any of the books mentioned here. Well I skimmed over The Fellowship of the Ring. And that was after saying I probably would never read it. Now I may read the rest of it someday.
I’ve read (listened to) Steelheart and Firefight by Brandon Sanderson. There not fantasy, but super hero stories. Quite exciting. Apparently there plotted as thrillers. but they had a few weird theological things coming in and I couldn’t get my hand on the third one.
