August 26, 2016 at 1:42 pm #16206*shakes head in disbelief* It’s OKAY, @DAEUS!!! I didn’t say I didn’t love TCoMC! I do! And it’s extremely close, anyway. The one thing that tipped the scales in Les Mis’s favor was completely random and nobody’s fault— I personally happen to like character stories more than I like gripping action. That’s all. π
Where do you FIND those emojis, anyway??? π
August 26, 2016 at 1:43 pm #16207*clears throat primly* Excuse me sir, was that a death threat?
August 26, 2016 at 1:46 pm #16208No, it was suicide.
Emojis courtesy of imessage.

August 26, 2016 at 1:55 pm #16209Eh… dear dear @Daeus. Couldn’t you at least have used poison? It’s so much more Monte Cristo-ish. π

August 26, 2016 at 3:29 pm #16216@kate-flournoy: Count of Monte Cristo is one of my two favorite books (right up there with Brothers Karamazov), so it would be hard to top it, but I do have high expectations for Les Mis, so we’ll have to see. π

August 26, 2016 at 3:48 pm #16217@daeus Would it help if I said I like The Count of Monte Cristo a smidge more than Les Miserables? π
Theater kid. Currently depressed because I can't stop listening to sad musicals.
August 26, 2016 at 4:02 pm #16219@christi-eaton *sniffle* Yeah, I guess I can reverse my suicide now.

August 26, 2016 at 4:06 pm #16221@daeus Well good, we can’t have anybody dying over here, now can we?

August 26, 2016 at 6:02 pm #16236Argh, Suicide attempts!!!!!!!!! Good grief. @daeus Relax, relax, relax. I was having a nice holiday from my doctor duties. π *writes prescription* No using knives; no drinking poison; no dying attempts.
@kate-flournoy My suggestion is not to say things like that. *wags finger at you.*
@christi-eaton Thank you for coming to @daeus’s rescue. Good luck with your role if you get it. π (I love acting)- This reply was modified 8 years, 4 months ago by BlueJay.
August 26, 2016 at 6:14 pm #16238Ha! That’s a clever prescription. I can’t believe I didn’t think of it. *Smacks head*

August 26, 2016 at 6:22 pm #16239Goodness @Daeus! I barely know you! *Sighs heavily*
Well I suppose I should throw in my hat too.
I have many, MANY favorite books.
among them are Narnia, Percy Jackson, The Mark of the Lion series, Peter and the Starcatchers (saw that mentioned way back!), The Kingdom series, The Witch of Blackbird Pond (another I saw mentioned!), Lamplighter books in general (though I haven’t read nearly as many as I would like to), The Hero’s Guide to Saving Your Kingdom, the Lunar Chronicles, and SO many more.August 26, 2016 at 6:32 pm #16240Ha! Thatβs a clever prescription. I canβt believe I didnβt think of it. *Smacks head*
@daeus It’s all because I’m a doctor. *smug smile* And btw, you’ll give yourself a headache if you smack your head. I know, I’ve done it before.August 26, 2016 at 6:45 pm #16241 -
