@leon-fleming DC Talk and his earlier solo work–basically, up until Tonight. That stuff.
October 10, 2020 at 1:12 pm #85641@gracie-j Well, I’m about seven days late, so oops! But anyways; yeah, those sorts of things, really. I’ve got most of his music, though not all of it.

@leon-fleming I’ve become accustomed to the fact that (1) your calendar is askew and (2) you tend to spend your time elsewhere…hopefully somewhere that has coffee, ‘cuz Lord knows you need it, honey child. So I don’t wait up for you, if that’s what you’re wondering.
Have you a favorite song, perhaps? Oh, and have you ever heard anything by Lifehouse? I recommend “Everything.” (I’m pretty darn sure you’ll like it better than Gone with the Wind.)
October 10, 2020 at 2:08 pm #85653@gracie-j Actually, I don’t have a calendar, only a watch, which could be part of it. Seriously? Honey child? I’m as old as you are, if not older. *face blanches* Gee, that would be weird if I wasn’t. Hey, though, that’s okay; I prefer being alone in this large group of KaPeeFers, anyways.
Nope, not really. I like a lot of songs. But I don’t really have a singular favourite. Nope; never heard of Lifehouse before, and probably won’t again either. Do you mean “Everything” as in the one by TobyMac?

@leon-fleming No wonder. Everyone needs a calendar. I mean, don’t get a boring one. Get one of those cool ones–like with pictures of vintage buildings or black-and-white landmarks. Surely they have those all the way across the world–er, nation–in Cali.
And honey child is a Southern thing. Regardless of your age, relation to the speaker, gender, etc., you gon’ be called honey child, sweetheart. Or would you prefer bucko? Or sport? Or champ? Or young’un? Because we use those too.
I mean “Everything” as in the one by Lifehouse. I dare you to listen to it. Pull it up on YouTube. Watch them performing live–they are (or, well, were) terrific live. No offense to T-Mac or anything. (Love you too, bruh.)
And, yes, you is older than me, sugah.

@leon-fleming Question: when did my possibly being older than you become “face-blanching”? I mean, I was 24, like, a month ago, you know. (Which probably makes me the odd one out; 24’s rather old.) Surely we have some young teens out here, though, don’t we? Calling all thirteen- and fourteen-year-olds! Prove to Leon that he’s not the only kid on KP!
October 11, 2020 at 6:48 pm #85683@gracie-j Nice.
Yes, I figured as much; How about just ‘dude’? Or ‘guy’? Or ‘human-being-over-there’? Or ‘that guy’? Or even ‘man’. As in “‘ey, man.” I honestly don’t care, actually. Seriously? Sweetheart?
You ain’t gonna catch me doin’ somethin’ on any dare of yourn, lady. “Dares” have never and shall never work on me. Plus, I’m not on YouTube.
Well, that’s a relief. What, were you born in 2005? I was just joking around about the face-blanching thing. Why would the blood drain from my face? I haven’t seen it do it before, why should I now? Ha.
Speaking of elephants, how’s that poem goin’?

@leon-fleming Pardonez moi, mon cher. You know ‘ow it is wiz ze terms of a endearment, oui?
Whatever you say, random male human being cowering in the corner. (What’s wrong with sweetheart? I’d contemplated darling, but that’s most commonly used by older men, so that thought that one might be a little weird.)
Not on YouTube? Like, not allowed on it or don’t have an account? ‘cuz you don’t need an account to listen to/watch anything on there.
So…if I took back the whole dare thing, you’d listen to it? Please? S’il vouz plait? Por favor? Bitte?
August of ’05, yes, so I’m a fresh 15-year-old. You were born when? 2018? Late ’04? Early ’05? (10th-grade, right? Yeah…definitely not ’18, then, huh?)
Mmhmm. There’s a reason for all that blanching–I’m sure of it. And I’ll find it out, of that you can be most assured, my good random male human being dude man guy over there.
Well, I don’t know what elephants have to do with it, aside from you looking like one (which is odd; you looked like a horse yesterday), but it’s going pretty good. I’ve submitted it to the contest, so it’ll be several months before I hear how it did. I had a long list of submissions I’d wanted to work on, but I have so much going on already that I might just wait ’til next year. Thanks for your advice, by the way. I greatly appreciate it, man. (Is that better?)
October 12, 2020 at 4:06 pm #85743@gracie-j Reverting to French, oui? I’m not sure how to respond to “Forgive me, my dear.”, unless you talk like that in Georgia, too (which I now wouldn’t be inclined to doubt).
Let’s just say that around here we take terms of endearment a little more seriously: EX: If someone around here (in Cali where I live) heard you (I mean, you) call a guy “sweetheart”, then by gosh, he’s your sweetheart.
Both really; not allowed, and no account. Nope, probably not even then; not even for a pretty please.
August of ’05? I wouldn’t have assumed. Yep, I’m late 2004.
Ha, ha, ha. I’m glad to see you took me quite literally. XD
Oh, those are my disguises; I’m undercover for the Queen, searching for a creep who threatened to steel the crown. But anyways; it’s a long story. Nice! Do you mean…submissions for KP? (Hint, hint?) Or for the other contest? (We haven’t gotten anything in about two months. I’ve only edited two poems since I began, and I rejected them both…Gosh. Maybe that’s why. [XD]) Sure, no problem.

@leon-fleming Mais oui. You know ‘ow we French are wiz our endearments, non?
Ugh. I wouldn’t like California very much, then. Too serious. Bleck. (And excessive endearments are more of a senior adult thing.)
Darn. Oh, well. I had to try.
So…just turned 16 or about to?
Well, you just mentioned how serious you Californians are, so I could do naught else.
That’s a classy disguise, if I do say so myself. Other contests, although since y’all are in such dire straights, I might be inclined to write a little something for y’all… And, yeah, that’s probably why.
