He loves his family and his community, but his brother and many of his church members are slave owners, and Adrian is an abolitionist. But in war, one must choose a side. And Adrian can’t stand for something he knows is wrong. But standing up for what’s right can come at a cost, and he’s soon on the run from a wealthy slave trader that wants him dead. Will his family and church understand, or will they label him as a traitor and spy?

"Would you kindly...?"
July 17, 2023 at 6:15 pm #151256Ok awesome! I’ll get on it right away!
I do have a question though.
Is Windy Pines a small town, or a bigger city? And do the MCs spend a lot of time in a big city? (I’m wondering because I found a cool template for the cover that I might be able to use. 😉 )
Oh and do the roses have anything to do with the moon? Or are they there own separate thing? (Does the question make sense? XD)

July 17, 2023 at 7:19 pm #151268So Windy Pines is the smaller town that the kids are all from, but a huge chunk of the story takes place in the capital, Bermill. No not really, the roses represent the villain, Rosie and a few other pieces of the book. And yes the question made sense, dont worry 😀

July 17, 2023 at 8:17 pm #151277Oh this is so cool!
Here’s mine, if you have the time, btw the others you have above look so good!!
Title: Afterthoughts of hate
Author: Bree
Blurb:
“If hope was a tangible object, how far would you go to obtain it?”
.
.
A world between worlds, Asper is a broken land for the outcast. Hope no longer naturally occurs, and the residents are fast running out of their rationed amounts. The burned forests and steaming swamps only allude to the hurt within.
.
.
She can’t even remember her own name. Two years ago, she heard about the legend of an endless sea of hope at the end of the world, and she’s been searching. The prospect of filling her hope vile, which she drank the last of 3 months ago, is alluring. But she’s getting weary. The search seems fruitless, and she’s ready to quit. Can anyone convince her she’s worth it?
.
.
Flax can’t bear the idea of drinking his hope. He watches the bright liquid slosh in his vile, but never drinks it, fearful of running out once and for all. In his effort to conserve, he almost makes a dire mistake.
.
.
He gave his love the last of his hope. Faramiah, a decorated knight from a far-off world, was cast between the worlds because of his secret marriage with princess Ann Mariette. Determined to give her the dream of endless hope, he gave her the last of his vial and sent her on a journey to find the end of the world. He hasn’t seen her in 3 years and fears the worst.
.
.
Can hope be found?Theme: Emotions don’t control us, we control them.
Setting: Asper, hopeless world (sci fi kinda setting)
Aesthetic: Fantasy dystopian nature, dark clouds ect.
Colors: Purple, liquid hope is purple, cream for flax’s feathers
Important objects in story: Flax’s hope vial, feathers, feramiah’s knight armor, daggers, medic bag, compass
Thank again! 🙂 If it takes you a bit to get around to mine that’s fine I see you have some other request here XD
"And so I left this world just as I had entered it. Confused."
