I wanted it finished by Christmas, and it seems like the actual story itself will be, but I’ll only be able to type it up and get it to you afterward. Hopefully before the new year though!

@theshadow nah it’s fine! I can get these kinds of things done pretty fast anyway. It’s the initial draft that takes all the time, and I’m just about done with that.

Azalea
“You all have such beautiful voices.” Azalea said to those of the group who had sung, each nodding their thanks.
“Where did Trevor go?” Rosalind asked, and Azalea scanned the area.
“I’m not sure, I think-”
“Hey Azalea, I found a guitar in the shed.” Trevor appeared by her side at that moment, holding an acoustic guitar and beaming at her. “Want to sing ‘Red River Valley’ together?”
Azalea considered, and finally nodded. “Fine, if it’ll make you happy.”
“Great!” Trevor took his place next to her, tuning the guitar. He strummed a cord, adjusted the strings again, and then began playing the first few chords. He began to sing, his voice both off key and pitch, but Azalea didn’t care at that moment. She joined the next verse, enjoying every moment of it. For only a few minutes, it was just her and Trevor, singing their favorite song together, and nothing else mattered.
When the song ended, Trevor put the guitar down. “Thanks for putting up with my voice.” He whispered, and Azalea smiled.
“I don’t mind it, really.”
Trevor grinned, “You mean it?”
“Of course.” Azalea smiled back, and suddenly felt the others staring at the two. “Um, why don’t I go put the guitar back?”
“Oh, sure.” Trevor handed it to her, and she hurried through the dark to the cabin.

Huntress and Sniper
The others were right. Trevor was missing.
How had I not noticed that??
Back in Teufort I would’ve noticed him gone in three seconds. It was kind of my job.
Being here relaxing and stuff must’ve really dulled my instincts.
“Hey Azalea, I found a guitar in the shed.” He suddenly showed up again, the instrument in his hand, nearly startling me. “Want to sing ‘Red River Valley’ together?”
She thought about this for a few seconds before nodding.
He strummed the guitar and began to sing, very off-key (contrary to his claim that he had a “great singing voice” earlier). Rather like whenever Soldier tried to sing to anything, but at least Trevor wasn’t as growly, and he didn’t eventually forget what he was singing after a while and start belting the national anthem.
Azalea joined in, her singing voice slightly more pleasant. Eventually they found a semblance of harmony. Their song was something I was more familiar with in terms of genre. I could see our team singing it.
Trevor finished and put the guitar down, thanking her for putting up with him. She smiled and told him it was no big deal, before getting embarrassed about that when she realized we were all listening and offering to put the guitar back where she found it.
I looked to Sniper. “We should go next! If anything, I can sing and you can play your saxophone to accompany me. You know you’d like it.”
“Ya think so?” He reached for the s’more supplies and grabbed a chocolate square.
“Uh, yeah! You’re great at it!” I stood up and walked closer to the fire, where everyone else with a song had been standing.
He stayed back for a few seconds, but eventually I heard a slightly annoyed growl, and he came to stand beside me, instrument in hand.

I’m glad you like Huntress as a character! I honestly didn’t expect too many people to care all that much about her. She’s one of my favorite characters I’ve created so far, so…

Aight, I’ll join with a couple. I made them up this last week for a project and I’d like to mess around with them. 👍 Their names are Pilgrim and Izzy.
