This question is making me realize how lacking my world building is.
I’d probably survive Linmaus pretty easily if I could find a job and shelter, avoid aggravating the clickmen, and don’t drink water from the center of the city. If I found and befriended Felicity, I might do better because she has some good connections in the city, but she also causes so much trouble that I can’t decide if she’d be useful or not.
Paper Stars has a bunch of planets (I’ve actually lost track of some of them), so it would depend on which one I ended up on. I would 100% die Dante’s home planet, either by getting mugged in the street or just by sunstroke and dehydration. I might have better luck on the twins’ home planet, which is like a giant rainforest with ecopunk style cities. I also like the idea of finding Liko on his planet and being his assistant in the mechanic shop.
As for my other projects, I have a zombie apocalypse story in which I would die immediately, a couple set in our world where I’d be fine, and I also have an 80’s based dimension hopping story. That last one I think I’d probably survive since the main character is a ten-year-old child with a knack for causing problems and she survives.
Have you drank water today?
March 12, 2025 at 8:11 am #199773Depends on the story 😳
Kingdom of Kaimor? I think I could. If I just avoid traveling alone… and populated cities! You just have to stay away from: Phoenix, The city of Nimbus, the ancient city, Treetop, and any other major city XD But than again the non-major cities are usually not in the best location. But I think I could! As long as people with magic don’t try to attack or kill me, no fallens attack me, I don’t get drafted, I stay away from magic (yes it can be dangerous), I lived somewhere nice and not deadly, and I don’t go out at night alone!
If it was P.I-.C.A.F.E. on the other hand… HA HA HA, No. And do I have to explain why?

My main WIP right now . . . yes, since it’s essentially our world, just in the near future. Although, it will get a little harder as time progresses and the government begins to persecute Christians.
As for my other project, Eidar . . . As long as I had the right equipment. Like Loopy’s world, there are a LOT of planets, and they all have different ecosystems . . . luckily with oxysuits and breathpieces, most of them are inhabitable. So it would depend on where I spawned (. . . ?) and if I was able to get access to that kind of equipment.

March 12, 2025 at 12:25 pm #199811Hmmm. I have too many WIPs
Welp, if I ended up in Areth Realms, I’d have about a 50% chance of survival depending on which people group I ended up with (Vere=dead. Alven= probably survive if made it beyond the first 10 minutes. Gnomes= I’d be fine. Randir= probably survive? They won’t hurt a woman)
If Cleft of the Cosmos, I’d be okay if I could blend in, which would be nearly impossible on Leo and Silvia’s home planet because of my brown eyes. The other planet I’d fit in way better, so I’d probably be fine. If I ended up on Paradise I’d be okay if I could find the cafe/soda shop.
If I ended up in the Sovereign world…I’d be dead as I’m human. The wolves would either kill me, or leave me in the frozen lands to die. If I ended up in the Island I might survive, but that’s a big might.
If I ended up in the Vilder wood I might survive? If I managed to reach a Vilder before I froze to death or got eaten by something. I’d probably do a little better in the neighborhoring countries, although I wouldn’t speak their language.
Rules of the Road is set in our world, so I’d be fine as long as the Crescent didn’t come after me.
If I ended up in Kraliya, I have no clue. Depend on who’d be the first person I met, and how well I could blend in, but I think I’d make it. I’d just have to come up with an explanation for my weird accent and sudden appearance.

Fork the GorkMarch 12, 2025 at 2:21 pm #199818It would definitely depend. Lol.
In Eirtan, I would stick out like a sore thumb, but the people are very nice. They might laugh at me, but one or two of the more respectable people would help me out. As long as I avoided Raiders and Dorwains and didn’t drown or suddenly become alergic to sheep, I would be fine. If I met up with the main cast, it would be great! But not necessarily safer.
So either I would die, be enslaved, or live very well and have a lot of fun. XD
Shattered Kingdom… Welllll, it’s an allegory. So maybe if stuff translated, I’d be fine? But if not, I would probably get killed. Sword fighting isn’t my specialty.
Belirien would be splendid! Only I would have to be one of the animals. Preferably a squirrel, mouse, or otter, because they’re just fun. The foxes are in the middle of a blood feud, so while I would love to help Kenneth out, I would probably not survive that mess. And of course, if I’m a squirrel or mouse, I’m prime food for the Hunters. So I would probably still die. XD
You have listened to fears, child. Come, let me breathe on you... Are you brave again? -Aslan
March 13, 2025 at 11:15 am #199894Most of my answers would depend.
In Burne, the world of The Purple Eyed? Yeah, as long as I stay out of Needslight in Fremir, Burne. Needslight is a huge hood residential area, I often compare it to Chicago (and a few other places that seem dangerous). I’m pretty scared of hood areas anyway so I’d probably live far away from there… and Fremir in general… I’d probably live in Kork, Burne. Burne and her cities are very similar to America in many ways, which is why I’d prolly survive. Especially if I could get a job. There are probably some kind Burni-Extroitians who’d likely help me out.
In Ethrin? Ehhhhhh… maybe. It also depends on where in Ethrin. Ethrin is known for being a very evil and war-centered country, especially on the eastern side of it… so I’d probably try to go to the western cities of Ethrin where tech and war is not as much of a focus. As long as I don’t commit any crimes or claim to be Extroitian, they’d have nothing against me and thus I’d be fine. There’s also probably some kind people there too who could help… maybe.
In Ecris, world of my fantasy novel Rivers? Absolutely not. That is a planet run by aliens. No matter how human and civilized some of them are, they are aliens. I could have low chances at survival depending on where in Ecris I land—like I think if I were in the forest of Gilial, maybe… but only if I could figure out how to build shelter and find food. Maybe. Finding food that is edible for humans would be a big struggle. The caves of Thiant? ABSOLUTELY NOT. The city of Sonuin or Metir? Maaaayybe, but likely not. I could probably blend in as a Cyresmos or Calanos because they look a lot like humans, but claiming to be either one of those would result in problems of their own, considering both of those races are enemies with each other.
I think, in general, I would not survive anywhere because I am a timid person, and too much contact with humanity without my
siblingsfellow cheetos around usually has near death results for me.If you pluck them, they explode. Goro.
March 13, 2025 at 11:36 am #199900I could survive Laerylia during the beginning of the first book. I’d need to stay inside at night, carry a weapon, say nothing against the Sacrifice, not voice my support for President Lotan, avoid the High Priest, and not be at all powerful. After Lotan’s assassination, things get more complicated as those who have ever voiced support for him are increasingly persecuted, and even ignoring the Sacrifice can get you in a lot of trouble. By the second book, all bets are off and I’d probably die.
To err is human; to arr is pirate.
March 13, 2025 at 3:38 pm #199931@whalekeeper oooh! I like this question because…it actually depends on WHERE I ended up XD
Basically my world is just that- a WORLD
Kinda like earth, it has a VAST majority if different kingdoms, countries, lands, etc, so like…I may survive great in one place but elsewhere? NOPE XD
So like Cirque? PSH I guess it depends on who is ruling it at the time. I’d probably go crazy (so I guess id fit in ROFL)
Grimm’s land? (no name for it yet) YEA NO. Too cold…too bloody…no thanks XD
The Faerie lands? Hmm…maybe…AFTER the gang gets through with it and the Mer kinda take rule. I think I could handle it.
I’d rather be a Mer honestly. They have it easier and I like their kingdom XD
A’Grend would be nice. It’s basically Eden…but with wayyyy more politics due to stupid people.
But yea there’s a lot of different places so it depends. Maybe I’ll just go hang in the caves with Luna XD

#ProtectSebMarch 15, 2025 at 9:49 pm #200133Hmm, well I guess in the woods around Rosen, I don’t think so. The woods are massive, and nothing really lives there. Besides, a creature stalking about doesn’t help, and something that could take a town could probably pick me off pretty quickly (wish I could say more but that would be spoilers).
As for Terre, which is where my other WIP takes place, I have a fair chance of survival. It’s set in the medieval ages though, so I guess I would be more susceptible to diseases and the like. There are also onyxes, which live in trees and intentionally try to kill humans, and cobin bears which are also very aggressive, but they only live in certain areas, so I think I would survive.
