My whole family is going to see Ted Cruz this coming Monday! And our primaries are on Tuesday! I’m excited about both those events. This election has been insane. It’s like a rollercoster of hopefulness…I think Cruz can win…no, he’s not doing well…yes, he’s doing well…no, Trump is doing better…it will probably go to convention…no, Trump might win after all… Anyone else going though this?
INTJ - Inhumane. No-feelings. Terrible. Judgment and doom on everyone.
April 29, 2016 at 7:40 am #12101That’s great @hope. Apparently Indiana is “The Big State” now. I would have got to shake his hand except my family wasn’t able to make it to his rally. I’m looking forward to California too. That will be really interesting.
Yeah, this … it’s crazy this year.

@Hope YES. However this election turns out, it’s gonna leave me emotionally scarred for life. πApril 29, 2016 at 12:26 pm #12131Yeah! I won an award. When’s the ceremony gonna be?

April 29, 2016 at 7:20 pm #12170Speaking of Elections we are probably having our federal election on the 2nd of July. If so it will be a double dissolution, which means all of the senate is up for re-election, not just half. This is good because it means some Christian candidates who have almost gotten in in the past, have a better chance. But it not officially settled yet, because that how things go in Australia.
Also I passed my driving test yesterday. And I bought an SD card that doesn’t fit in my phone, instead of the micro one that would fit. Silly me.

April 29, 2016 at 7:44 pm #12173@hope Congratulations on your governor. Apparently he’s better than ours.
That’s neat @anna-brie. Foreign politics are pretty interesting.

April 29, 2016 at 8:31 pm #12184@Daeus It’s about time he said something. π The son of our pastor is a state representative and he was able to meet and introduce Ted Cruz at a rally yesterday.

April 29, 2016 at 9:06 pm #12200@Daeus I think foreign politics are way too complicated.
April 29, 2016 at 9:14 pm #12205@anna-brie Yeah, interesting and complicated.

May 3, 2016 at 10:24 pm #12469Some thoughts I had after tonight. I know some of you are probably struggling just trying to think clearly with the political situation. Let’s not loose focus though. I came up with six reasons that hope should be our top emotion. Really, number 4 should be at the top.
1. If we canβt win America, weβve already won eternity.
2. If we canβt win America, itβs possible we can win our individual states (and counties).
3. If we want to, we can always move to Texas.
4. We know our lives are in total control of a loving God.
5. Miracles are commonplace in history and tend to arrive at the most seemingly unlikely times.
6. As much as secular America is getting worse and worse, Christian America seems to be growing a bit stronger. Perhaps there is hope many years ahead. So really people. We’re still alive after 8 years of the Obama administration. Have we yet to learn from our own craft that the low point has nothing to do with the conclusion?
Sleep well everybody. You can eat frozen raspberries in the morning.

May 4, 2016 at 7:35 am #12480@Daeus The time is long past for frozen raspberries. I will solace myself in doughnuts and chocolate. Also, three cheers for moving to Texas, but I’m afraid I won’t be making it any time soon. What about the Alaskan bush?
To say I was bitterly disappointed last night is a bit of an understatement. But God is still in control. For starters (as you already said), no matter how bad things get here, this isn’t our lasting home in any case.
And, as much as we love our freedoms, we are already blessed with many more privileges than hundreds of thousands of other people. We’ll survive for a bit longer yet.
And, of course, we can take the the characters and emotions from these last few months and always use them in a story somewhere
And now, since it’s May the 4th…
