@rae that happens! I have a placeholder name for a character, then it just sticks because I can’t imagine them as being named anything else.
Several of my charries were named this way……
"When in doubt, eat cheese crackers."-me to my charries who don't even know about cheese crackers
May 30, 2024 at 5:51 pm #180230I’m not sure what makes a name a Christian one, tbh… will Hebrew ones work? 🤔 Maybe…
- Tirza
- Moriah
- Naamah
My favs of the boy names you shared are Malachi, Ezekiel, and Raphael. 😄
If you pluck them, they explode. Goro.

She’s somewhere in her thirties and I’m imagining her as a redhead, but that could change. The only name I can think of is Rosie, but that doesn’t quite fit.

Bear, Captain, Zeus, Knox.
You could also name the dog after its favorite food, like Cheeseburger.

So, one of my characters is named Eldred currently. However, after doing research on his name, it is in fact from medieval English and not German or French, which is what his nationality is (he’s a knight from Terre, a country formed from German and French tribes). If any of you have either German or French medieval name suggestions, that would be greatly appreciated.

Some German ones are Alexander, Konrad, Hermann, Heinrich, Emmerich, Berthold, and Christian.

Oh, I like this idea! Here are some characters that I have name holder for currently, but their name just doesn’t click with me. That or I want someone’s opinion on it!
So for my first one, she is the immortal girl from my newest WIP. Her name currently is Ahava (because she is jewish, well not the religious jewish, just native) she has black hair, darker white skin (do jewish people have lighter or darker skin?) blue eyes, and a skinny body. she is a little taller then most young girls. So what do you think of her name? I like it, but I would like some more opinions on it!
Next I have the name of the prince from my main WIP. His name right now is Thomas, but I don’t like it. What do you think a better name would be for a character that is a general? (Also side note, random question, would anyone be interested in me sharing parts and scenes from my WIP??? sorry, just a question) he is more serious and stern, but protective. I don’t know.
finally I have Carrot Cake. I am fine with that being her nickname, like how (in my WIP) Pretzel’s real name is Peter. But I do not have a REAL name for Carrot cake, (also I decided just to be funny/fun with their names and name them Carrot Cake and Pretzel! LOL) but still, should I keep her name just as Carrot Cake? or should she have a real name? Her design is as you could imagine: She has orange short hair, pale white skin, brown eyes, and is psychotic. Typical girl things. (she is also a pyromaniac 😁 more typical girl things) She is a little more goofy then the rest of the characters, and she only takes the situation seriously when her best friend Iris is in any danger. But yeah, idk what her REAL name should be, should I just keep it a mystery?
