Maya Athelas. One of my characters. Different to the Maya in my dream story. The proportions of her facial features are terrible, but oh well.

I’m here! I’m alive! Sorry about that. Anyway, I like her! She looks quite elvin (if she isn’t, forgive me :p)
I have a couple more drawings, I think, but they aren’t finished. I’ve been crazy busy.April 27, 2017 at 5:05 pm #31597@i-j-anderson Yeah, she’s an elf. Haven’t had much time to draw during school term. This was done on a car trip, actually.

@f5a8c3e92 hey! Sorry I’ve had a super busy week >.<
She looks great! I love the view of her dress, looks like you put a lot of thought into that design <3April 30, 2017 at 3:46 am #31768@aysia-serene Thanks! Yeah, I spent a while just staring at the blank paper wondering how I’d lay out the dress. Had a few draft patterns on another page…

Wild Australian. INXJ.April 30, 2017 at 8:42 pm #31804April 30, 2017 at 8:51 pm #31806WOW. Zikers, I LOVE it!!! It’s beautiful! Oh, goodness, the way you did the shading for her face…..*bounces up and down* And the little wisps of hair are just so her. I love her profile too, and the nose is how I imagined it….And I still can’t get over how wonderful your lettering is! <3 Thank you!

April 30, 2017 at 8:57 pm #31809@GracieGirl oh good. 😀 Thank you. She was fun. The scanner actually washed out a lot of the color, but the basics are still there. 😉 Doing her blouse was fun too, because I have a Steampunk story in the making and working with the costumes has been a blast. *grins*

@perfectfifths glad you like it!!
@kate-flournoy DUDE awesome!! You did such a good job on her shirt and hair I love it!April 30, 2017 at 9:04 pm #31811@Kate-Flournoy Yes, I meant to mention that I loved the blouse too. 😀 I came across my costume design templates when I was cleaning out my closet today and I’m super excited to start sketching some new outfits for this story!
So you’ve written Steampunk? Awesome. This is my first try and I was wondering, what exactly differentiates Steampunk from other science fiction? In other words, are there any specific things I need to make sure my story has before I start calling it Steampunk?

April 30, 2017 at 9:09 pm #31815@Aysia-serene thank you. 😀
@GracieGirl well I haven’t written it yet— it’s still in my head, but basically what Steampunk is, is doing cool impossible sciencey things with steam engines instead of computers.
I’m cheating a little, because the space station my story takes place in is steam on the outside, and the further in you go the more advanced the technology, but shhhh we won’t talk about that. XDApril 30, 2017 at 9:12 pm #31817@Kate-Flournoy Thanks! I thought that was the gist of Steampunk, but I wanted to make sure. 😀

April 30, 2017 at 9:22 pm #31819Erm, I know this isn’t exactly the right forum to announce this kind of thing, but I just finished my last school assignment of the semester, so YAY! @f5a8c3e92 @kate-flournoy @graciegirl
Now when I get on, I’ll actually be able to do stuff!
