Okay, well to be fair, I have never seen Grathmere. Not in any RPs (for understandable reasons), nor anything from your WIP.
If he’s more powerful than the main villain of this RP, then we probably don’t want him in here 😅

getting a little worked up there
However, I don’t blame you for not wanting to add him in if he’s that overpowered. My question is, how exactly do the characters in your story get close enough to beat him, if like you said there’s only one being (besides God) who can do it? Like I can see Alpha going there by himself to fight, but surely there would be at least a few others going to battle Grathmere’s forces so he can get through–how do they not instantly die? How have the other creatures of the universe survived Grathmere’s existence before Alpha and his sister?
oh and in answer to the Snake question, yes, that has certainly happened over time. His tribe hails him as their second greatest hero (the first being their founder), and the tribe he defeated hates and fears him for their ruin at his talons. Which is exactly why most of the modern villains, who are from the enemy tribe, will probably not be much help to Koshtin’s and Black Sky’s purposes. They’ll be too afraid of the dragon who they believe will obliterate them, despite the fact that he’s nowhere near the world-destroyer they think he is.
Where'd I get ya this time? The liver? The kidney? I'm runnin' outta places to put holes in ya.
February 23, 2024 at 5:15 pm #176558Worked up? Yes, definitely. Sorry @jonas , I should have been more gracious, since you’re right, Grathmere is such that I have never showed for to you than the shadow of fear that is cast upon those who must utter his name, or the doom that comes lurking after one who has the spell of Grath upon him.
Imma gonna spend a long time enjoying explaining this…since Grathmere is one of my personal fav charries

BTW, Leahae was born before Grathmere became Grathmere, when he was a peaceable being who just had more enhanced powers than the rest of his race to begin with. But, that doesn’t matter much, because he only should her his good side, and his the drak side, so she grew up ignorant and as innocent and white as a water lily.
Before the making of Alpha, we have different stages of Grathmere killing the Realn.
First, Grathmere, once he vowed to destroy the Realn or die, but not his child, began over hundreds of years to amass an army of allies. He is still young, his people considered him as the same as a twenty-year-old. Therefore, his powers had not reached full potential at all yet.
Second, he slowly begins trying to choke the greastest empire of men, preceding for them to watch themselves slowly die from multiple things than wiping them out in just one single swipe. In the words of Vorgan to Nahim, “you will slowly die, with the realization that you, and your friends, and your family will all die, without hope, without chance. And their, and your memories of your last stand will not be remembered, no matter how ‘honorable’.” Grathmere prefers to slowly torture, then kill. And since he is immortal, to him, slow is really slow. Besides, why not be at the height of his power when he does destroy them?
One other reason Grathmere did not destroy them right then, was on Wond, there were still those who could stop him. It wasn’t until the Galaxy Age when he could not be stopped, no matter what by anyother but his children.
Once GA began, he expanded to space, and began rebuilding his empire, secretly. Finally, he made Alpha, and began the Grathmere War.
How dies Alpha get close to Grathmere?
Simple, Grathmere comes to him. Foolish, it may sound, but Alpha is weak compared to his father, and can be infected with the Grath. The Grath is a spell that is automatically cast upon enemies of Grathmere who meet his gaze when his eyes are black, or are touched by him.
It takes an hour to a week to kill a mortal, but around a hundred and fifty years to kill the immortal. A hundred and fifty years of agony. The Realn don’t know, but Alpha is never going to die, it will just continue on until he finds a cure.
How was Alpha not killed then, if he was weak compared to his father? Simple. The vow. Over the sleeping form of Leahae, on the ruin grounds of Grathmere’s Elqeth, he vowed,
“Either they die, or I die. But not my child.”
Grathmere may torture Alpha willingly (I have another rant on why Grathmere does this, if you wish to hear it) but he would never kill him. In fact, he traded his life for him.
Also, about those who are Alpha’s help and team…they are the Black Shadows, and they do die at Grathmere’s hand, some at least. But they still did what Alpha needed, and willingly.
How do the Realn win the Grathmere War? Simple, they don’t. But they don’t die either.
Grathmere does.
If it was not for Alpha, the Realn would be no more.
Any questions? I’d be happy to answer any. Did I miss anything you wanted explain?
Please ignore typos, I’m really tired and don’t feel like editing.

So is anyone else planning on throwing in a villain? We could also just continue the RP normally
@rae @jonas @keilah-h @beth-torresShould I RP as Nazyra?

And guess what? His is eternal (:February 26, 2024 at 5:45 pm #176788@rae I can see why he’s one of your favorite characters. He must’ve taken a long time to come up with.
(and yeah, Snake doesn’t need the Grath to deal with. He’s already got one curse messing his body up. Well, actually, he doesn’t have it yet in this RP, but he will in his future.)
@princesachronicle22 lol me neither, at least till I can get back on trackWhere'd I get ya this time? The liver? The kidney? I'm runnin' outta places to put holes in ya.
February 26, 2024 at 9:50 pm #176817I am planning to add a villain, but I’m not sure who. I would guess that we would start all the villains out with a scene of them being summoned by Koshtin, because otherwise they won’t know what to do.
I can’t remember who RPd last. Our group just met up with Snake and Carrie.

📚 Appreciator of BooksFebruary 27, 2024 at 1:49 pm #176876I still need to write Umen’s RP, and I’m still trying to figure out what’s going on, but I’m going to add a villain.
Chaos
Age: unknown
Description: Chaos is one of the White Lies, who are the children of Entropy. He may appear as a ghostly white crocodile, with pure black maw and eyes. He may also appear as a pale young man with white disheveled clothes and hair. He looks like he doesn’t have a care in the world, but he also looks like he knows he’s the one in power.
Personality: He is Chaos. He doesn’t care who you are or what you do, whatever you do, he’s there for the ride, or maybe not, He does as he pleases.
He is perfect in Justice, yet He is perfect in Mercy, even when we fail Him. For this, He is good.
February 27, 2024 at 6:10 pm #176899Ok, I’ve decided on a villain!
Ro’Osath
His arms are laced with scars from cuts. His hair is dark brown and unkempt and his eyes are dark green. He has a half-starved sort of look about him and looks generally not very intimidating.
He’s insane, and he may also have some psychopathic tendencies. I’ll figure out the rest as I go 😛
***
So are we going to start with them being summoned, or should we say they’ve already had everything explained to them and they’re going to infiltrate the heroes now?
Any noun can become a verb if you don't care enough.

Chaos found himself in a place he hasn’t seen before. That didn’t make much sense. Just the way Chaos liked it. He noticed people traveling in nonsensical directions, clueless of what was going on, Chaos was pleased. Chaos also noticed people fighting elsewhere, pleased indeed. In most cases it’d be hard to please a god, but Chaos was hard not to please. However, the chaos being strewed here was particularly sweet.
safjasdt;totisdiiii he decided. Chaos started to take his physical form. His cosmic sense of self shrinking as his essence distorted into a beast. The process was excruciating, the burning power of Entropy flooded Chaos as his senses melted and cooled into their set mold. It was painful, it was thrilling, it was chaos, and Chaos loved it. Chaos continued to claw into the complete body. A long snout with wicked teeth shown clear, sharp white scales crawled along him, completing his form with a tail. Chaos looked upon his form, and saw that it was ok. He was never fully satisfied with it. It was chaotic, but not quite enough, it was too confining.
Regardless, Chaos lurched in the body, sliding into a nearby body of water, and started swimming upstream toward a castle like structure.
Chaos has come.
He is perfect in Justice, yet He is perfect in Mercy, even when we fail Him. For this, He is good.
February 27, 2024 at 6:33 pm #176904Hmmm, idk I just introduced Chaos before I saw you posted this. The thing is that Chaos might try infiltrating, but Umen and Synian will both recognize him. He will be by definition unreliable with completing any goals. If he has been intentionally summoned, he won’t really serve the villains very well. He’ll just make it worse for both sides. They should probably have considered summoning Tyranny instead, Chaos’s opposite.
He is perfect in Justice, yet He is perfect in Mercy, even when we fail Him. For this, He is good.
