I think it can go either way. Helpful, I know. 🙂 I think they’re fine as long as they aren’t like some old books that were along the lines of “Chapter VI In Which so-and-so does such-and-such,” which is way too much of a spoiler.

@jadamae Haha! Yes, I know what you mean. “In Which I Fall in Love” isn’t spoilery at all, is it? (I’ve read a book with that exact chapter title.)

@Dragon-snapper personally I love chapter titles, as long as they don’t give away spoilers for the chapter. 😛

I’m not finished with my current WIP yet so I’m just sticking with numbers for now. But provided they’re not spoiling anything (such as mentioning a death or a betrayal) I like chapter titles. They can build anticipation and make it easier for me to find my place if I loose it or to reread a favorite section. I can just look for the title that sparks my memory instead of taking a guess at a number.

@dragon-snapper I love chapter titles; ones that grab my attention without telling me what will happen. Or funny ones. The chapter titles in Percy Jackson, for example… I love just looking thought the table of contents because they’re so hilarious.

INTJ - Inhumane. No-feelings. Terrible. Judgment and doom on everyone.
