I’ve started map-making recently, mostly for my WIPs or future WIPs. Does anyone else here on KP like drawing maps?
Here’s one of mine. It’s one that I haven’t used yet, but it’s one of my favorites.

Thanks! I’m glad you like it! I’m an okay drawer, but only with certain things… Not people, mostly animals. Although, I sometimes get lucky and can draw people, so I guess I’m just weird like that. 🤣

I do dabble with maps… I have a picture of one of my old maps that I can post here, but, alas, I don’t have any photographs of my lovely watercolour one right now.
This map isn’t in a polished state, but I used it to help me with worldbuilding.We're all stories in the end. Just make it a good on, eh?

Here’s a few of mine from a few different WIPS:
This one is an older WIP, and I’ll probably won’t come back to it, but I like the map.
He is perfect in Justice, yet He is perfect in Mercy, even when we fail Him. For this, He is good.
This one is within my current WIP, but it’s very underdeveloped.

This one’s also in my current WIP, it’s Omialia. This is only a 2d slice through it though, making a map of a 3d space of planetoids is hard. So this one uses a rough version of what I guess could be called proto polar coordinates to get the idea of the position of particular locations.

Arendryl looks epic! They both kinda look like the same rough shape to me, is that intentional? I love the sea dragon in the corner!
I actually like the simplicity in the coloration. I also love the coastline. Water color does sounds like it would look amazing!
That looks awesome! So that’s all forest? It makes me think of the Skyrim map a little bit with the lower border. (No, I don’t play it)

Also, yes, they are meant to be similar. It’s not a map I’ve used for my current WIP, but I’ll use it eventually… and make up a reason for their similarities, lol.
Here’s one from my current WIP, Healer. Not sure how much it’ll be used, but we’ll see. (It’s not very detailed because it was my first time working with online art, and I don’t really have any kind of tools. The Phoenix used as a compass is meant to represent the Celestial Phoenix, a deity meant to be like God in the story.)

Thanks! That’s actually not Lupus, so thanks for catching it 🤣. It’s Lacertilia, the Serpenree planet. Spearhead is the city where Rina lives in Healer. (It is the kingdom of Battlecrest, though 😅)

I really need to make a map for my WIP. I did once, but I really want to change it cuz I’m not satisfied with how it looks.
