Lemme see…..
Half an hour late, the subway arrived looking suspiciously like an old fashioned steam engine.
And….
Trains have been outlawed, along with cars and planes. The only way to get anywhere is through portals that no one really understands….

@kate-flournoy Arg I can’t think of anything cool that has to do with trains. 🙁 I hope you don’t mind if I break the topic. 😉
You are walking down a busy street when a stranger in front of you drops a piece of paper. You pick it up. Your phone number, circled in red ink, is written on it. Right then your phone rings.February 16, 2017 at 8:31 pm #25915@winter-rose nope, not a problem. And I like that one a lot.
Soooo… let’s say the new topic is cell phones, shall we? If any of you still have any brilliant train (or otherwise completely unrelated 😉 ) ideas feel free to share, of course. It just helps with focus if we have a topic.
@Jenali ooh, I love those too! Very nice work everyone.February 16, 2017 at 8:47 pm #25916@kate-flournoy You’re at a huge book signing when someone comes up to you and points a gun at your head, telling you to come up with a writing prompt or die. Your mind goes blank. The man fires, but the bullet get’s stuck in your writer’s block.

February 16, 2017 at 8:55 pm #25919@kate-flournoy But you see, now every time someone gets writer’s block, it will remind them to just look at things from a different angle.

February 16, 2017 at 8:57 pm #25920@Daeus yes. *chokes again* I see.
February 17, 2017 at 8:33 am #25932@Kate-Flournoy Cellphones, is it? Not something exciting like a sword? *scowls* Ah well.
You get a voicemail on your phone. Someone is pleading for help and you can hear your own voice yelling in the background. When you check the time stamp, you see it is dated five years in the future.
INTJ - Inhumane. No-feelings. Terrible. Judgment and doom on everyone.
February 17, 2017 at 8:53 am #25937@daeus I’m totally going to do something like that. 😛

February 17, 2017 at 12:45 pm #25943@Daeus Thank you for giving meaning to my writers’ block. XD May happiness and prosperity follow you all the rest of your life.
@Kate-Flournoy
You find a cell phone in the dumpster that lets you communicate with the people you call through thoughts, not words.INTJ ➸Your friendly neighborhood mastermind. ➸https://thesarcasticelf.wordpress.com/
February 17, 2017 at 12:47 pm #25944@Hope niiiice. And technically your prompt can have anything at all in it so long as it includes the topic… so a magical cell phone that can turn into a sword isn’t too far fetched, if you wanna go that route. 😀
February 17, 2017 at 12:47 pm #25945@Ethryndal ooh, I like it. Thanks. 🙂
February 17, 2017 at 4:41 pm #25962@Kate-Flournoy Once a day you get a text from an unknown number. All it contains is a picture, a picture of you. One of you heading into the supermarket, one of you driving away from your friends, and then one day…….
Dialogue prompt: “‘Siri, define scintillating.’
‘Scintillating means: sparkling or shining brightly….If you ever want to see you sister again go to the park at 3:30.'”I just have to say I freaked myself out. I read that in Siri’s voice! XD Btw I checked, Siri will say that exact definition if you ask her to define scintillating. 😛
