@mineralizedwritings yeah that’s just cause of my weird cartoon-realistic combo artstyle haha, but thanks!
you and @grcr have a very similar style! I can see why you’d pick that one.

it was well earned.Man is born for the fight, to be forged and molded into a sharper, finer, stronger image of God

I would say his face is a little slimer than I draw it but I didn’t specify that so it doesn’t really matter.
I think Jonathan at 27ish would look just like yours.
Ah ok.
The boots look so good!
Thanks!! 😊😁😁

Jonathan’s clothing looks more professional than what I picked up from his description. I imagined him dressed casually in a tee-shirt.
@theductator
A request for when you submit your description. When I created this challenge, I intended it to help authors develop their ability to describe character appearances. This is also a test to see how people imagine your characters as they read. Could you please write the description of the character as it would appear in your book (or something close to it)?
September 7, 2024 at 4:12 pm #185503September 7, 2024 at 5:03 pm #185515Yeah I probably should have specified more. I’m super into fashion so most of my characters dress semi formal and I forget other people don’t do that lol.

Devote reddamus!September 9, 2024 at 4:49 pm #185576Well, now you’ve learned a little more about describing characters and how that impacts how your reader imagines them!
September 9, 2024 at 4:54 pm #185579Here’s my description/scene! This is not a direct excerpt, but it probably will be once I get there. 🙂 Character name: Perpetua Grace Frankton
“Can I pet your doggie?”
Stephen looked down into a pair of large dark brown eyes. “Sure.” He told Phil to sit. The girl who had asked gave him a dimpled grin. She was a cute little thing, probably four or five. Despite the light snowfall, she wore no coat, only a sparkly grey t-shirt and denim overalls covered in dog stickers. At least she had boots, though they were on the wrong feet. Her cheeks and nose were red from the cold, and her hands, now buried in Phil’s soft fur, were chapped, but she didn’t seem to care.
“What’s its name?” she asked.
“Phillard, but he goes by Phil.” Stephen looked around. “What’s your name? Are your parents with you?”
The girl shook her head vigorously, knocking several leaves out of her shoulder length red blonde curls. “I’m Pet, and they’re taking a nap.” Phil licked her and she giggled. “I want seventeen dogs for Christmas, but they said no.”
What kind of a name was Pet?
